What time should I get to park/Harry Potter on Wednesday

and Thursday. The parks are scheduled to open at 9:00 so I think that those staying onsite can enter HP at 8:00. I am hoping to be at RPH to check in at 7:30 a.m. Is that good enough and are my thoughts on opening time correct? Haven't been in ten years so a lot has changed!

We went on Sunday for 8:30 to buy passes, etc., for a 9:00 opening. We got in right at 9:00. There was already a 45 minute line for Forbidden Journey. When we left at 11:15, there was over an hour wait to get into Dervish & Banges shop and an hour and a half for Ollivander's; there was a minimum 2 hour wait to get into that section of the park.

The earlier, the better. Decide what your priorities are!

They were saying Sunday was "quiet" and that the wait for Ollivander's was, "A very slow day..."

We already have our tickets/passes and we are staying on-site so I think that entitles us to arrive one hour early.

Yes, when you stay on site you get into IoA one hour early. So if park opening tim is 9 am, you get into the park at 8 am.

When we stayed on site we were in line at the gates by 7:45 and each day they opened a few minutes before 8. We were probably a good 10 people back so if you want to rush to Ollivander's (only thing you really needed to rush for with early entry) I'd be at the gates at no later than 7:30. We checked in at the HRH at 7 am and were done by 7:15 and then by the time we walked over it was right at 7:45. RPH is probably 5-10 minutes closer to IOA.

This is good to know as we are doing Disney/ Universal and will be spending 1 night at Universal So we should plan on getting to the Resort by 7 am to check in and then head for early admission to IOA!!! If I understand correctly we will have early admission the day we check in and the day we check out!!!

What about FJ? Or do most people want to get into Ollivander's before the "general public" crowd heads in?

We'll be staying at RPR the night before we plan on going to IoA, so we thought we would try to leave the resort around 7:30 for early entry with the intention to head straight to FJ. This is our first time at IoA in a long time, so I hope our plans work!

Ollivander's takes in a lot less people than FJ at a time, that's why the line gets so crazy. Definitely do Ollivander's first if you must do it. I'd really only recommend it to the die-hards, like myself, because the show is so short and the line can be a couple hours long even early in the morning.

Thanks! Yeah, we are definitely not die-hards...I'm not really sure what Ollivander's is honestly! Is that where they do the wand "ceremony"? Sounds cool, but definitely not something we have to do.

Sort of on the same topic...I know staying onsite gets you early access and the FOTL cards, but does FJ have FOTL access for hotel guests?
