What time of year did you first go to Disney?

:D

I don't remember which month it was, but I went during the summer of 1981. I was only 4, almost 5. Now, I can't picture going to WDW any other time of year other than Ma-late August. I went in January of 1997 and I don't think I'd like to go again during the winter. It just wasn't as fun, having to wear pants and a sweatshirt on some of the days.

The first week in May in 1976. I was 5 yrs old and I have been a mega Disney fan every since. I thank my mom everyday for sharing her love of Mickey Mouse and Disney with me - for she made that first vacation happen!!!

Our first trip was during early December, 1992. Small crowds, great weather and beautiful Christmas decorations. We stayed at the GF. We have been back to WDW staying on property another 30 times since then.

September 1975. It's been our favorite month to go (when possible) ever since.

June 1977 when I was almost 9. Did not go again until late April 1985 and then took my DW on her first trip Easter 1991. Its funny but the least crowded day at MK was that drizzley Easter Sunday in 91. We did everything at least once and many things twice.

It was 1981 and I was 14 when my family went to WDW - it was during the summer. Since then, I have been numerous times and mainly in the off season.

My very first (and only so far, lol) trip was March 16-19, and we didn't think the crowds were so bad. Hmmm, it was our college spring break and our honeymoon too. Maybe after I've been there in early May I'll know the difference, or maybe we just got lucky and it wasn't too bad. We had a great time tho!

First magic kingdom trip was June 1972. First Epcot trip was Thanksgiving weekend after it first opened. I think it was 1982. Pictures look so funny when you see all the epcot buildings with little or no landscaping!

We always went the last week in August...until our last trip. Our last trip, we went in mid-November. There wasn't really much difference. Our November trip was during Thanksgiving, so we still got humongous crowds and FL was having a heatwave....98 degrees every day! :earseek:

July 4th, 1997. We booked through AAA three weeks ahead of time and had a package deal. Since it included LOS passes we decided to go and stay outside the park the first night and check in first thing the next morning at CBR. Four year old DD has a 102 temp the night we arrive, so I go hunt for a doc in a box place at 6am on a Saturday on the 4th of July. Found one that opened at 7:30, went to WalMart to p/up a prescription and checkin in by 10 am at CBR. Even with such a horrible start we had such a great time that we'll be going on our fifth trip in two weeks..

My 1st trip was my Honeymoon in October 1993. I have been 4 times since then and am trying to go for the 5th!

I was 26 years old and I also was deprived! My parents didn't seem to understand why I was upset when I had been all across the county and to the Grand Canyon, but hadn't been to Disney. They had no desire to go. However, their 1st trip will be in the next year or two b/c DM is retiring this year and we will MAKE them go w/ us!!! I know they will enjoy it.:sunny:

We went the 2nd week in AUGUST for our first trip!!

What a big mistake!! What were we thinking??? It was SOOOOO hot you couldn't breathe!!

We now book our trips in the spring or fall!! I like the FL sunshine, but when the temp reaches 110 I begin to wilt!!

Our first trip was the third week in Sept. It was hot, but the crowds weren't too bad.

We went to WDW December 2001 for Christmas. Everything was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Everyone loved the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights with the "snow" falling. We get snow here all the time in Michigan, but to have "snow" in Florida was great!

We are going in June this year and we'll be able to do the waterparks and swim when it's not so cold. We only used the pool twice at the resort in December because it was cool. We had our winter coats on at MGM. Those concrete seats at Fantasmic! were really cold.

My first trip was in Nov, 1972 when I was 12 (almost 13) years old. Went to Epcot about 5 days after it opened -- can't remember the year.

Stopped counting number of times at 50 -- that was years ago.

My first trip was in March of 1982.

Have also done early February, other March trips, June, and October. Will be going for the first time in the month of November 2004.

Will never go in June again. Way too hot!!!
The least crowded trip ever was early February.

All of my trips to Disney, except the very last one (my Honeymoon-- which was in April), were in the summer.. July or August. My parents LOVED Florida, and we would often take our summer vacation there.

First trip May of 1984 for honeymoon. My favorite times are mid/late October during Epcot Food and Wine Festival, the week before Christmas and, well , actually any time.

And yes my family must have been nuts !!!!

Park was way way too crowded, lines were hours long, they ran out of food at most spots, they had "Crowd Control" CMs walking around and helicopters overhead. Mom was hysterical and wanted to leave. I held my ground, I was not leaving until I went in Haunted Mansion. After a couple hours in line and on the ride - many people had given up and left. We then stayed the rest of the day.

Now this is not counting when my Dad took us to the Visitor Center you could go do while it was still under construction. Saw movies of what they were building and all postcards were drawings.
