We have a 6:35 AM flight out of MCO on a Saturday morning in December. Our reservation at the Beach Club is untl Friday morning, and we are going to stay at the hotel in the Orlando Airport. According to DVC Magical Express request, we need to call Friday morning and request the last trip to the airport. Does anyone know what time that will be? Our last night will be at the Beach Club Villas.

DME operates 24/7 so there is no "last trip" of the day.

Please forgive me if I'm wrong. But wouldn't OP have to find a flight that leaves at least three hours after he wants to leave BC? So assuming he wants to leave BC at 10 PM, he would have to find a flight that leaves MCO at 1 AM. Which I don't think there are.
I checked a random Saturday in December, the 12th. I couldn't access Southwest's website, so they might have later flights. But the latest flight I could presently find is tot to Miami on American Airlines (Flight 1222). It leaves MCO at 10 PM. Meaning that Magical Express would pick you up about 7 PM.
HTH. And I also hope you find a later flight on SW. Good luck.

That shouldn't be necessary. Taking DME to the airport is not predicated on you being on a particular flight. Lots of people go back to the airport but don't actually fly home at the end of their Disney stay.

If you get a CM who requires you to have a flight in mind, just hang up and try again. Some CMs know you can just take DME and help out, and others aren't as helpful, from what I've heard.

I am going by the email I received from DVC when I set up the magical express, here is what they said:
"Because your check-out date of Travel Plan XXXXXXXXX and your actual
departure flight details do not coincide on the same day, we are not
able to set up DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS® for return service on Friday,
December 11, 2015. However, you would be able to contact DISNEY'S
MAGICAL EXPRESS directly on your day of check-out to set up your
outbound transportation service. You may call DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS
at their toll-free phone number of 866-599-0951 on your check-out date
and advise them you would like to take the latest motorcoach available
from DISNEY'S BEACH CLUB Villas to Orlando International Airport.
DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS will advise you of the motorcoach pick-up time
once confirmed."

They never actually say what time the last bus is. I am trying to find out for planning purposes.

There is no last bus out. Magical Express runs 24/7. As long as guests need to be moved, they do their runs.

Call and talk to them as you the information tells you to do. They will probably put you on the last bus that will be doing a run that night. If there is a guest who is going to be picked up at 8 pm, they would put you on that bus. One at 11 pm, they would put you on that bus. You won't know until that day and you call.

I think they are trying to say they won't send a special bus for you. They will put you on whatever bus happens to be making the latest run that day.

I know. However, I thought you needed a specfic flight (not necessarily your own flight) to take DME to the airport.

Hoping I'm wrong. :)

Thats a good idea. If I want to leave around 9:00 PM, I can look up flight times for around 11:00 PM and give them that info, and take my own luggage.

Good Luck!

SO far I have heard this a lot, but I have yet to actually see anyone successfully get the DME ride at midnight. While what you say is true, they basically quit taking you back to the airport after the last flight. So you will be on the last bus or no go. And there are NOT many "late night flights out of MCO. Just did a check and the last "domestic" flight out today is a 22:15 (Or 10:15) There are a couple of internationals later but I think DME picks you up earlier for those so that's not a great selection

Bumpershoot has a good suggestion here. You might need to ask for a manager. Call the number and be specific in what you need - a transfer from your resort to the airport at x pm.

Please come back an report how you made out. I respect OCC's comments as I know he (or she) travels a lot and regularly posts on FlyerTalk. I have no doubt their flight info is correct. The point is that DME is a transfer service between the airport (not your flight) and your resort.

Trust me I tried this trick once or twice. I was going back to the airport to stay at the Hyatt. But I could never get Disney to transport me Late enough for me to watch fireworks. So I just rented a car

What they do is they tell you they will take you back at midnight or whatever time you ask And then when you get your information you have seven or 8 PM pick up So you call and they said I'm sorry that's the last bus

Thanks for the update Orange County Commuter.

You may call DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS
at their toll-free phone number of 866-599-0951 on your check-out date
and advise them you would like to take the latest motorcoach available
from DISNEY'S BEACH CLUB Villas to Orlando International Airport.
DISNEY'S MAGICAL EXPRESS will advise you of the motorcoach pick-up time
once confirmed.

Based on how this is worded, I take it to mean the latest available to be a motorcoach with available room. If there was motorcoach which was at or close to capacity it would not be available for their trip to the airport.

If the motorcoach that would leave your resort at the time you need or want was full at the time they finally pulled your name out of the hat for scheduling, then you might be assigned to the previous motorcoach that has seats. If several guests are so affected then it is likely an additional motorcoach will be scheduled.

Magical Express is designed to get guests to the airport to catch their flights home, although no one checks to see that they actually board those flights. So I would not be surprised if DME declines to schedule a bus for you that leaves your resort so late as not to correspond with any departing flight that evening.

Just call DME when you get to your resort....anytime prior to your departure day. Tell them when you need to be back at MCO.....if they can't get you on a bus that works for you, then just take a cab.
Here's the issue.....DME isn't set up to be a service that allows 100% of the guests to do what they want, as far as travel goes, 100% of the time. They try to cooperate, but sometimes it just isn't going to work. With a flight that departs at 6:30am, you are going to be getting up pretty early. You should be down, at security, by 5ish, which means up by 4:30, probably 4! So, you aren't going to be wanting to stay up late, in order to close the parks!!! I would try to see if they can get you on a bus around 10ish. Perhaps a bit sooner so you can get settled in and into bed for a decent night's sleep.
