Ummmmmmm.......Today is much better.. especially when we are talking about how people over the age of 30 should not use the word bestie... well my friend and co-worker turns to me and said:
If you let me lick my finger and stick it in your ear.. you can call me your bestie"
yeah that really happened...
Before I get to your update....
Ummmmmmm.......
You should of said... errr never mind. I don't want to get in trouble with the mods who frequent Kathy's threads to make sure she stays on topic.![]()

Does the tour ruin any Disney magic? While it sounds like fun I'd be worried I'd find out something I didn't want to know.
See ya real soon- I'm out!![]()
You were making a habit of stalking Disers on this trip, weren't you?We said goodbye to Epcot and walked to the car. Neither one of us really had a feel for a plan this evening, so as I was checking FB, I noted that a DISer who I was very anxious to meet, had posted that she was at the new Art of Animation resort. Mark and I had wanted to check it out anyway, so we decided to go over there and check it out and meet my DIS friend.
Another successful Dis meet in the books. I really hope you're keeping track of how many there were on this trip, because I've definitely lost track.Yep, I met the famous D (DMGeurts here on the DIS)
A nice way to end an evening. After our tour, we went back to the resort, had an ice cream treat and another Turtle Krawl
Worth the price of admission already. We checked in for our Keys to the Kingdom Tour and got our bottle of water for the tour and told we could walk up and down Main Street until it was closer to our departure time.
After how many times making this drive????Up next, on the road to Marco and did we make the wrong decision of our route?
Mark offered that we leave Marco REALLY early the morning we were flying out of Orlando and and stop at Epcot on the way to the airport so I could ride Spaceship Earth. Didn't I tell you I had THE best husband in the world?![]()
We stopped for a few more photopass pictures on our way out.
Yep, I met the famous D (DMGeurts here on the DIS) who makes those beautiful custom Disney bags. I was so happy that we were able to work it out as we feared with D and girls not having park hoppers and us being at different parks, we wouldn't be able to meet.
Mark knew by this time what we were doing and he was getting more and more excited.
We checked in for our Keys to the Kingdom Tour and got our bottle of water for the tour and told we could walk up and down Main Street until it was closer to our departure time. So what does one do with an almost empty Main Street? Take pictures of course.
Our guide was Molly and she was THE best CM we have ever encountered. Friendly, professional, always with a smile, funny, etc. It is a wonderful tour and I strongly encourage everyone to try it once. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take pictures at all during the tour, but we learned a few secrets and really enjoyed it. About half way through the tour, they provide you with lunch at Columbia Harbor House (you get to select your meal when you check in) and it is included in the price of the tour. We also got a "Key" to show we had done the tour. We would definitely do this again.
Kathy, I have never been on Main Street when it was nearly empty; however, that is about to change. This upcoming trip we have an 8:00 in the morning ADR for the Crystal Palace. I'm not overly excited about buffet breakfast foods, but I can't wait to see the MK empty and hope to get some great pictures.
Here is the story (short version) A DIS friend of ours Liesa (All7OfUs) who was living in Kazakstan at the time, was running a game on her PTR. I won the game and she sent me a whip as a prize. As any good DISer does, I took pictures of my package that traveled 1/2 way around the world and of my prize. I figured what is the fun of taking a picture of a whip that is sitting on the stairs, so I had my DW take some pics of the whip in action. Yea, DW thinks I'm a weirdo but she knew what she was getting into when she married me.
Kathy saved the picture on her computer and she decides to torture me with it once a year.
So that is the back story to the whip picture.![]()
Linda, Tim and I go way back here on the DIS. He and his beautiful daughter, Juliana, were my first real DIS "get to know you outside the DIS" friends.
Hi Kathy! Just wanted to send you a quick thanks for your positive vibes for my boys! We are all exhausted here in Boston. After the last out I ran out of my house in my slippers and PJs and drove to my parents house to celebrate with my dad. Stayed up til 2 am watching post game! Everyone is Boston is red eyed but happy.
