It's 8:50 am and -6. This is the first time we've dipped below 0 this winter.

It's 1:47 pm, overcast (the sun is trying!), very windy and a balmy 16 degrees!
Hoping all you Northerners & Plains people are keeping toasty!

It's 2:50p and 34 degrees, the sun is out.


Not good, Wic. I have said if I can't find something soon, I should go back to doing daycare. DH says we need the money, but for some reason dosen't like the daycare thing. I don't know why, I did the daycare. The kids were even gone before he got home. We will see, I did apply today at CVS near me. I even sent out my resume to a vets office, they are looking for a bather in there grooming dept.

That stinks that you're having such a hard time finding a job Pooh! Well, if you liked doing daycare, maybe you should just stick with it. Have you tried waitressing, or Walmart...Target???

I have tried Sears, Walmart, as you know Lowes. I was thinking of Target next. I don't think I would like waitressing. I am going to talk to my DH this weekend about why no daycare. I know I can do it and I do like it, just thought it was time to stop. Maybe not, this is what happened when I stopped working full time. That is when my kids where young and started school.

nhpooh, have you tried doctors', dental offices? or answering services?

I wanted to do daycare when DS was young, but DH was against that idea.
He didn't like dealing with the insurances.

Yes, I brought my resume to two dentists and had two interviews in doctor's offices. Sent my resume to a vet in Merrimack. Now DH is suggesting going to local hotels. So I will try that too!

Hey Wic and jonestavern I went to City Hall here in Nashua, they have a job opening for a city clerk. I applied this afternoon, one of my old daycare mother's works for the city too. She sent a letter to the HR director in my behalf. I have taken care of her two kids, I still take her daughter to school a couple of days a week. Her oldest is 14 now, so we have a lot of history together.

I also went to a spa/solon today, they also are looking for help. My next door neighbor works there, I need to tell her that I applied today.
