My parents pool water temperature was 72 degrees yesterday afternoon, it's now 80!

I can't believe how warm it's been the last few days!

My daughters school is having field day tomorrow, it's going to be 96 degree's tomorrow, I really hope they set up cooling stations for the kids!

I do too! I remember those days when my kid had field day. I would take the daycare kids and go watch them. If it was tomorrow I would stay home way to hot.

I love it warm but this is way to warm and humid! I can take the heat not so much the humidity.

Exactly, I know if I keep my daughter home tomorrow because of the heat...she'll be mad! But I'm nervous, they aren't even going to be at the school...I'm going to have to freeze some bottles of water tonight, she can use them as ice packs to keep her lunch cold and as they melt she can drink them, or put them on her neck to cool her down! I'm kind of hoping they reschedule field day until Wednesday or Thursday, once it starts to cool down a little bit! I saw on line that some schools in NJ closed early today because of the heat!

The freezing the bottles is a good idea. I would do that!

I saw the schools closing early thing too. That would be the day they would do it around here. I think someone would have to get really sick before they did that. I know in our middle school, the one my DD's went to it doesn't have a/c. The only place that is is the library and the offices. The high schools have a/c.

Ditto. Though 6:17 and the temp here is still showing at 97. Thank goodness we have a/c this year. Have been 2 summers without and that was rough.

for a minute there I almost when you said bay area 102 but then I saw your home town and was like oh fairfield...is that considered bay area? I guess I always considered you part of napa valley because your so close to it yeah Im like 97º here and its almost 5pm...the time on dis boards is way off from what time it really is

Earlier it was 97 degrees - with a heat index of 100 degrees..

The humidity is awful.. Thank goodness I have an a/c window unit here - which is struggling to keep it down to 76 right now - even though it's set for 66..

Well technically Napa is considered north bay too.
We are supposed to start getting the delta breeze tomorrow. So we will start to cool down.
