10:18 and 30 degrees in Greensboro, NC...about 5 in of snow and 2 in of solid ice so far. Storm is moving north, but picking up strength, so you guys will get the worst of it, I fear. Stay safe!

It is about 26 here in jersey and snowing along the coast. Near NYC it it not snowing yet because I just spoke to my dad and is not snowing up there yet but it is coming.

I think last time I looked at my outdoor thermometer it read "stay inside it's 400 degrees below freezing"...but that was a week or so ago. I mean once it gets below freezing it's all the same to me.

It is 27 degrees and snowing here in Northern VA...woke up to 8" and it is supposed to dump another 10-15 inches today. This is the most snow I've ever seen. Grew up in coastal NC and spent 7 years in Hawaii and 4 years in Savannah. It is definitely pretty, but I don't want to drive in it anytime soon.

Did I mention that as of 6 a.m this morning there was 350 auto accidents in the Triad area and 88 in Greensboro. They only salt the roads here, no sand, so no traction and folks do not understand how slow they need to drive in this weather. I'd rather be in a snowstorm in Boston than here!

Well, I will say, the SoCal natives have the same issues when it is raining here. (Which is almost never does.)
There are huge pile ups on the roadways and hiways because the natives are just NOT used to any precipitation on their roads...hence the need for them to slow down a bit and be careful when it does rain.

Hope our friends up North nis safe. Last night Roanoke, VA had 16 in - that is just 2 hours north of here. Sure hope everyone is safe and warm.
