When my Northeast family calls to chat....the first thing they say is "and we do NOT want to hear about your weather"....

Our friends who live in Florida call us when ever they hear we are having bad weather. Like SNOW storms!!

My parents leave Maine every Oct and head to Fl for the winter.

Dad spends the entire winter watching the New England weather on the weather channel.

When they came here for Christmas '08, Dad immediately asked me to put on the Weather Channel...I figured he wanted to know what OUR weather would be in SoCal while he was visiting. NOPE, Mom rolls her eyes and states...."Dad needs to know what is going on back home"....ODD....AND if you remember, pooh, last NEW YEAR'S EVE, you all had a raging storm....he had to watch the WC and call all my Sisters and Bro and make them aware of the weather....they replied...."Dad, we know, we are living HERE".... It really is/was funny.

Dad's addicted to the WEATHER CHANNEL!!!

It's 8:58am here in Eastern PA and 48 degrees and a showere here and there. But it was almost 70 and sunny on Monday can't I have that back?!

Well just was out doing errands and yup, the sun is shining!

I think that our weatherman might have thought he was in Virginia Beach....has anyone seen what they are getting slammed with in that area?

It is the worst month of the year here...November. I hate November.... the sun makes only very rare appereances if at all... most of the time it is like now... at 5:55am.... dark, absolutely chucking down with rain and mixed hail...blowing... YUCK! and it seems like it's dark all day long... seriously you have to have lights on during the day. November always gets me thinking about moving to California!! Short of that... we keep a nice fire going in the woodstove and fireplace in the evening, we have very nice lamps, and I cook a lot of comfort food...and dream about our winter vacation to Disneyland!! oh yes...it's hovering just a few degrees above freezing, so the hail is not sticking....
