luv, yes, we had a few cool-ish days but now we are back on a warm roll! Loving THIS weather! I posted on my FB page on Monday "I love you San Diego … all 78 degrees of you" … well that set off a storm of about 25 replies from my east coast friends. As you can imagine, they are just not happy with the weather this winter.

Me too! Ours haven't been as bad as yours, but they say they will be tonight and maybe tomorrow night.


It's 11:30a and 23 degrees, with a wind chill of 12 thank god the sun is out!

my husband and I (along with family members from back East) are going to the Tournament of Roses Parade next January, so I've been researching hotels in the Pasadena area. Exciting times ahead!!

luv, ugh, just reread your post and I don't know how I missed this. Anyway, I cannot help with Pasadena hotels but Brett and I did a day trip to Pasadena when we were living in Newport Beach …. awww, we loved Pasadena. We spent the day sightseeing and walking all over the city. The backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains is spectacular. There is so much history in the city. I hope you will spend a few days there seeing all you can!

Now, Mike, I spoke to my Mike the other day I told him about those horrid temps at Philmont and he said yes, he has been in touch with some of the Scouts as they have a WINTER SESSION … I asked Mike, WHERE do they buy their clothing for that type of weather … !!!

He said he now has on his Iphone the weather for San Diego, Bristol RI (where he is) and Philmont! He loves just knowing the weather there.


Ok, 3:55pm in San Diego. One absolutely beauty of a day. 68 degrees now.

I am from New England and have endured more than my shared of horrific humidity.

Living in SoCal for 3 years … there.is.NO.humidity.ever.here!

We're planning on staying in Pasadena for a couple of days. Not sure how much we'll get to see, but we'll certainly try to get around a bit. We are so excited because we have tickets for FRONT ROW seats in a section of the grandstands near the beginning of the parade route! I also purchased tickets to attend the post-parade float viewing. We'll have the chance to walk around and get a close-up view of all floats.

Wow, the weather here has been fantastic! Today-70s and sunny. Here's the forecast for the next few days: Saturday-76 Sunday-81 Monday-81 Tuesday-80 Wednesday-78. Sunny every day, of course!

I can't stand being inside when the weather is like this. I have to be out enjoying the warm temps and sunshine.

On the flip side, everyone dealing with cold temperatures and gray skies, can laugh at me this summer when you're enjoying beautiful temps and I'm sweltering in temps of 100+ degrees.

Just booked my flight going to WDW in May with my best friend who lives there! It will be a short trip just three days but can't wait to go!

Tons of it. And this is dry season.

Storm season is worse... but you get used to it after awhile. The southern Caribbean is really the only part of this world that has a true dry season (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacoa, and parts of Venuzeula).
