Here is something you don't see too often in Tucson!

My husband and I went out to dinner tonight and on our way home, I spotted this fountain in front of the Holiday Inn Express not far from our house. Yeah, it's been a bit chilly here in the desert the past few days.

The other night, NBC Nightly News had a blurb about the freezing temps in Tucson, and the reporter was standing by a similar fountain. I'm sure there are others all over town!

Yikes, that sure looks cold.

I thought of YOU yesterday … I SAW Tucson on the NBC Nightly News as setting a record for the cold temps!!!


We had a warmer day today. Woke up to 47 degrees instead of 33 from Thursday. Still brr but quickly warmed up. Our weekend is going to be AWESOME. Warm and sunny.

6:25pm 55 degrees.

Today was nice it got up to 40 degrees here this afternoon.


It's 5:40pm and 36 degrees.

The owner of the restaurant was so indebted to the Boys & Girls Club, (as I guess he spent allot of time there as a youngster) that he donated his entire profits for 2010 to the Club! Finally got out of this cold spell, kinda. Was nice for the weekend. Was in the 40's on Saturday and even got up to the 60's yesterday. Not going to last though. After hitting 63 yesterday, we take a plunge back down today to 36 as our predicted high today. Chances of snow tomorrow. (Heads up Sue, might be headed your way. Seems it usually does once it leaves our state.) Will be in the 30's most of the week. Lows back down into the single digits at night.

11:45 am and it's currently sunny outside. 33 degrees with the wind chill making it feel like 25.

Then they say cold again too, now it's a nice 39 degrees. I know that's cold and I am but better then it has been in the teens.

Really, we would be glad to take it off your hands. Send it our way. We've been getting some snow, but nothing to really relieve this drought. Just get the cold more than anything. We've only been getting a couple of inches or snow when it does snow, which is few and far in between.

Hey my brother moved away from Point Pleasant after 20 years of living there! He moved 2 weeks ago. The fort closed so he was moved to Aberdeen MD.

Anywho, The sun is big a beautiful in the sky. I can actually see a little portion of my front lawn. It's 36 and more melting going on. It's going to end after today Temperatures are going to turn ugly tonight.

Thanks, I sure wish I could send it your way. I have a cousin in Texas he wants our snow too. I think if they could they would send some your way, we are running out of places to put it. You should see the big trucks hauling the snow around.

Yup another deep freeze is on the way, all this snow that's melting is going to freeze. We will have a lot of icy spots now.

Thumper Man: Hope you get the snow you guys need there. Also, just want to thank you again for your PMs with hotel info for Albuquerque. I'm spending a lot of time on the computer lately researching hotels. Not only are we going to the balloon fiesta in October, but my husband and I (along with family members from back East) are going to the Tournament of Roses Parade next January, so I've been researching hotels in the Pasadena area. Exciting times ahead!!

In the 45mins it took DH to drive to work this morning, the temp went from 54 to 32. Now it is 24 degrees and it sounds like the Big Bad Wolf is trying to blow down my house. Nice weather should return next week. I can't wait.

Well not much snow yesterday. Couple of inches, if even that. The cold has returned yet once again. Last night the low got down to 1. -10 with the wind chill. The weekend they say should be nice.

10:36 am. Sunny and the current temp is 7. -7 with the wind chill.
