Off to the Dentist. Bright and sunny. 61 degrees @ 8:18am.

Sue, keep me posted please! I want updates from "your neck of the woods".

Stay home and stay safe.

Back from Florida! And can I just say, it certainly could have been warmer there! I enjoyed one sunny morning and afternoon on St. Pete Beach, and the last afternoon there, the sun managed to shine while my husband and I ate a nice lunch poolside before we left. One evening, we had tornado warnings and torrential rains, wind, thunder and lightening. Yuck! I even got stuck in a gift shop because they locked the doors. When there was a break in the weather, I had to wade across very deep water to get back across the street to our hotel. Scary stuff!

We also spent some time in Orlando where it was sunny but chilly. On the day that my husband drove to Boynton Beach on business, I stayed in Orlando and spent the day at Downtown Disney. Eight straight hours of walking around browsing and shopping. I was in seventh heaven!:rotfl: At lunchtime, I sat on a wall with the sun beating down on me while I ate my hotdog and chips.:thumbsup2 There was a cool breeze, but the sun felt good!

Anyway, we're home and the sun is shining here in Tucson. Going for a high of 61 today, which is colder than normal for this time of year. This week's temps are supposed to be a bit below normal.

One of my cousins from Phoenix is here, she can't wait to get back home. She was only a baby the last time she was in a snow storm, that was before they moved to AZ. Says it looks pretty but way to cold here for here, I agree and I live here.

No, no, your cousin has it backwards! She needs to STAY in Phoenix in the winter and GO to New England in the summer.:)

I called my cousin back in Maine this evening and she answered the phone with, "If you're calling to gloat about the weather in Tucson..." :rotfl:
She said they got about 4 inches of snow today, on top of the three feet they already have. She said there is a lull in the weather now, but they're going to be hit big time again tomorrow.

9:24 and a very cold 18 degrees. I'm not sure what the wind chill is, but I'm glad I'm in the house and don't have to go anywhere. The electric grid can't handle the extra usage and there will be scheduled blackouts throughout the day.

It's 11:00a and 20 degrees, the snow has turned to sleet now:mad:

When I got up it was snowing, got another 4-5 inches over night. Yesterday we got 8 inches. This MUST stop now, I am DONE!

Finally got a little bit of snow to go with all this cold weather. Wish we had gotten more though.

10:53 am and the current temp is 0. -18 with the wind chill.

It's noon in Tucson and only 35 degrees! That's COLD for here, and only going to a high of 42 today.

Mark this day down in history. We are actually the coldest state, temperature wise, today. Yup. Even colder than the northern states. How does that happen? :confused3

7:05 am and the current temp is -14. -28 with the wind chill. :cold:

Yikes! Just reading your temp made me cold.

Here it is 8:43 and a cold 20 degrees. We didn't make it above freezing yesterday and we probably won't today either. We might actually get snow tonight.

Ok, all my weather DISer's … it is 7:52am and it is … are you ready for this … it is a whopping 33 degrees right now in San Diego!!! :scared1: :scared1:
Bright sun but it sure is cold. My abode is 65 inside with no heat on and I am not turning it on. Haven't since we moved here and will not start now. It is going to warm up to 64 today. Sooner than later, I am hoping. ::yes::

Mike, I don't think you saw this post from the other day … so I moved it over to this page. OH and your temps … OMG! :scared1: :cold:

Mike, Brett and I went for our usual Carlsbad walk and stopped into CI on Sunday! It really is lovely! They actually had a jazz band (4pm) playing in one of the rooms beyond the lobby. So lovely. Your views of the ocean will be fab! :goodvibes

They gave me a LIST of all the restaurants in the area. So now, what is your's and Heather's preference … Italian, Fish, French, etc???

The sun is out here today to. I would have preferred to stay home, but I had to come to work today. At least it warms at work. So I should be good for the day. Hope you start drying out over there. Stay warm yourself.

We didn't even make it out of the single digits yesterday. Our high yesterday was only 4. The weatherman says we will get into the double digits today. I'm hoping. These last few days have been brutally cold. By the weekend we should be back into shorts and t-shirt weather. The high 30's to mid 40's. :rotfl:

I wish we had your 33 at the moment. At least we would be above freezing. You think we're bad, good think your Mike isn't in Cimarron anymore. There high yesterday was 1, with the wind chill making it feel like -17. Now are you ready for this, there low last night -36, with a wind chill making it feel like -45.

Let me check with Heather and see what she's in the mood for. I'll get back to you on that one.

9:20am and 19 degrees in Tucson!:scared1: The sun is shining, though, as always!:thumbsup2

This is supposed to be our high for today. I hope the weatherman is right.

11:00 am it has warmed up considerably compared to this morning. Current temp is 3, with the wind chill making it feel like -8.

Oh wow, I will tell Mike when he calls. BUT I will say this; he is in Rhode Island in Bristol. Bristol is on a peninsula and is surrounded on 3 sides by water, the beautiful lovely Narragansett Bay … it is very cold and windy there all winter. And they have had MORE than their share of snow … :cold: While those Cimarron temps are :scared1:, he is pretty cold himself right now! :cold:

Well we are up to 55 degrees now, 22 degrees warmer than when I posted at 8am!!! :dance3:

10:30am in a very bright sunny cold San Diego!!

:cool1:

Two hours later and it is now 69 degrees! My San Diego is back! :sunny:

Wow a 36 degree difference between 8am and almost 1pm!

12:41pm in SD!

Here is something you don't see too often in Tucson!

My husband and I went out to dinner tonight and on our way home, I spotted this fountain in front of the Holiday Inn Express not far from our house. Yeah, it's been a bit chilly here in the desert the past few days.:headache:

The other night, NBC Nightly News had a blurb about the freezing temps in Tucson, and the reporter was standing by a similar fountain. I'm sure there are others all over town!
