What time do WDW restaurants that do not serve lunch, start serving dinner?

Also---if a restaurant requires "business casual" dress, would you recommend changing in the parks before heading to dinner or going back to your resort? I would think storing clothes in a locker and changing there would be easiest, but wanted to to see what everyone else's experiences and tips were.

Thanks!

It seems that most restaurants begin serving dinner somewhere between 4:00 and 5:30 so the start time for dinner does vary by about 90 minutes depending on the restaurant.

I don't know about anyone else but there is no way that I would be able to switch into dressier clothes after walking around a hot park all day long unless I took a shower first. Whenever we go to the few restuarants that have the business casual dress code we also go back to our room first, wash, and then to go the restaurant from there -- especially since the restaurants with the dress codes are located at resorts and not in the theme parks. But that is just me.....

start serving dinner at 5:30. Here is a link to a list of restaurants with times and menus if you want to verify a particular one.

We usually go in the summer so we take an afternoon break. Often times we freshen up and have dinner before heading back to the parks. It's convenient for us since we're already back in the resort. The parks are open late usually so we have plenty of time to tour.

Business Casual is really Resort Casual. My DH wears a golf shirt/polo shirt and nice shorts. I usually wear a nice top and capris. No flip flops or sneakers.

I agree with the PP we go back to the resort to shower and freshen up.

Also, some signature restaurants are more dressy than others. We found Narcoossee's to be very casual, while Cali Grill is more dressy.

Sorry I should have mentioned that we will be taking a break mid-day (from about 2 until 5) before heading back to AK for evening EMH. At around 7:30 we would like to head out for dinner---but weren't sure about wanting to walk around for those 2-3 hours in the park wearing our "nicer" clothes. Thought maybe we would just change before heading over to the hotel for dinner.
