to make it to the parks early. This is our first trip and we are doing chef mickey's at 8:00am then leave there and go straight to mk. Any advice on breakfast times??? :confused3

We had good luck with 10:00am breakfast seatings. We had cereal bars in our room or on the way to the bus, made it to early entry for opening, rode our favorites with no wait and then sat down for a nice leisurely brunch.
That worked really well for us and we had plenty of time with the characters.

If you want to be at the MK right when it opens, I would move your reservation time up to 7:00-7:30 range, then you won't feel rushed while eating breakfast. We like to be at the gate to the park at least half an hour before the opening.

If you do 8am at CMs, it's pretty unlikely you'll be able to be at the MK at opening.

If we are wanting to get to a park at opening, we do one of two things:

-We either make an 8am breakfast ressie INSIDE that park (like at the Crystal Palace for MK or Donald's for AK)

or

-We head to the park for opening and then have a late (10:30am or so) brunch after we've gotten some of the more important rides out of the way. When we do that, we usually have a cereal bar and fruit or something in the room before we head to the park.

This is what we do. I like it to be leisurely enough that I am not sweating it. That's no fun! And the longest wait for a ADR (PS then) was Chef Mickey's. That was at 10AM though on a quiet day.

We do it the other way - we do surprise mornings at MK then leave and have latest chef mickey's ps available - usually 11.10 or 11.20. We usually have a snack on the way over to mk. We have always done it this way, however, we are doing WC lunch this time instead and doing Chef Mickey's for dinner, for a change and because we are staying at VWL. I would highly recommend doing the late seating at chef mickey's though.

We have the same strategy as GEM. If it is early entry then we eat late, if it is regular opening we eat as early as possible.

If it is not early entry we like to get that 8:05 ADR inside the parks, or have more of a brunch on early entry days.

For counter service breakfast at the resort I like to be eating no later than 7 AM so we have plenty of time to get on a bus and get to the park either just before or right at opening. (Assuming opening is 9 AM.)

I make our ADRs in the morning!! I am feeling giddy already!

Since I like to be early to the parks, I do a quick CS. (resort food court, or BK etc if offsite) :moped:
