Anyone who’s recently been on the fantasy or any of the other ships know what time the shops normally open the first night?

depends on the port ..... the ship needs to exit the customs zone. For Miami, Lauderdale/Everglades, Canaveral this happens quickly and usually within 60 - 90 minutes of leaving the pier. Same rules as most other cruise ships must follow for casino. Casino and duty free have same restrictions . . . If you look at Canaveral and the one remaining casino boat it goes about 3.0001 miles off shore and sits for the duration of the gambling cruise then comes back in! At ports further inland, it will take longer. Non - US port?????? Dunno the rules off hand.

Thanks, I understand all that. We will be going out of Port Canaveral - I know it depends on any delays getting out of the port and what not. I feel like on our cruise in April it was 6pm but I could be way off.

ship can CERTAINLY do it LATER for worker schedule or other reasons . . .

Yeah, 6:00pm is about right. My last Fantasy navigator (from December, 2019) has 5:45pm as the opening time for most shops on the first night. Sail Away as at 4:30pm, so they could surely clear the border by 5:45pm.

It was about 6pm on the Dream in February, too.

That’s what I recall for the dream in March and fantasy in April. Our cruise in April all the spirit jerseys were gone by the time we out out of dinner on the first night… I’d love to try to get one this next cruise but we have main dinning
