...in order to catch a 1:30 pm flight out of LAX. It will be on a Sunday (in July).

If that is not ideal, when else should I consider this meal? We arrive on a Monday, will spend Tuesday and Wednesday in the parks. Then we will spend Thursday whale watching (need to leave DLR by 8:30 a.m. for this). Back in the parks for Friday and Saturday. I also should add that Storyteller's is the preferred character breakfast because of the "woodland" creatures.

I would so appreciate any advice!!

Hi,

If your flight is at 1:30 PM out of LAX, I would recommend getting a reservation at Storyteller's Cafe at 7:30 Am or maybe 8 AM. The reason I suggest these early times is because if your flight is at 1:30 PM, you have to have enough time to eat and then get to the airport and go through airport security.. It is best to be at the airport sooner rather than later. Also, eating at Storyteller's Cafe is a great experience and it usually takes us an hour to an hour and a half to eat and enjoy breakfast. Have fun on your trip!

I'd also go with an early reservation. Plan to be at the Character Breakfast for at least an hour or more.
We're usually at a CB for 1 to 1.5 hours to get the full interactions with the characters.

When you know what time you plan to leave for LAX, book your reservation for at least 2 hours before.
Keep in mind, there may be a slight wait once you check in for the time you have reserved.

Thank you plutos1fan and Geemo! i have no experience driving to LAX (we'll have a rental car) so I'm not sure what time we should leave DLR to get there. Any thoughts? I generally like to be at the airport two hours before flight time.

It's about a 45 minute drive from Disneyland to LAX without traffic. However, in LA, it seems like traffic can suddenly happen at any time of the day. To be safe, I would plan on allowing 90 minutes to get from DLR to LAX (better to be early than late). You also need to allow time to drop off you rental car, check your luggage/check in for your flight, etc. Given all of the security at the airport, I would aim to be there at least two hours before your flight (assuming you're flying domestically). So, I would aim to be leaving DLR by 10:00 am to be safe. I concur that character meals take a while if you want to meet all of the characters and not feel rushed, so I would be aiming for an reservation that is around 8:00 am.
