What time do FP+ become available at the 60 day window?

Turns out my FP+ 60 day window will open up on a morning when I am at work. I am wondering if I can make my FP+ reservations at midnight (EST) the previous night, or if I have to wait until 6am, 7 am, or 8 am (EST) the following morning...? I know for ADRs, it opens at 6 am Eastern. Is it the same for FP+?

And on a side note... I've never done FP+ reservations before. I know what I want to get (the rides, the rough times, the parks) all planned out by day. But I've never used the system. How long will it take me to make a day's worth of reservations?

FP+ Midnight, ET (Some have reported being able to make FP+ reservations 61 to 63 (or more) days in advance.

Reports run between 10-30 minutes per day to make FP+ reservations.

:headache: Great! We are staying 3 weeks onsite. Worst case scenario then, assuming I don't make any changes to my original selections I could be looking at 10.5 hours in front of a computer trying to get my FP's done :crazy2:

OP in my experience there is no need to book right on 60 days. My DD was working on the day that our FP+ window opened up so we didn't get to sit down and make ours until 6pm GMT (1pm EST) and were able to get everything we wanted at the times we wanted.

We had two days that we hadn't actually made FP+ for and we were able to make them last week (just 10 days out) and get exactly what we wanted at the times we wanted.

Lee, again this is only from my experience but it took us just over an hour to make 6 days' worth of FP+. We had an idea of what we wanted to get FP+ for at each park and on which days, but then changed our mind on a few things and went back in to change.

In my opinion, the website works much better than the app for making FP+ (in fact, not sure if it's my phone, although I doubt it, but I haven't had much success with the app at all for anything - even viewing our plans is hit and miss, it's all very slow) and the recent update (just a couple of weeks ago) means it is so much easier to switch things around as you are able to easily change individual FP+ reservations. I cannot imagine it would take you anywhere near 10 hours.

My recommendation would be to initially book the days you absolutely know you want FP+ for in particular parks, then go back in afterwards (or at a later date) and book the other days. We have actually made FP+ reservations for 2 evenings where we haven't decided if we will visit the parks - just in case. We will cancel in the afternoon if we decide not to go (although I am not convinced that cancelling or not actually affects anything in reality).

Thanks for the advice! Midnight works great for me, since we are on the West Coast and that's really 9 pm. Since I know exactly what I want, I'm hoping I can do the FP+ reservations in a couple of hours.

61 or 63 days, huh? Even though the MDE site gives me the exact date I can do it, it might be active a day or two earlier?

Wilma, I appreciate the advice. So I don't need to do it on the exact moment if I want TSMM or 7 Dwarves' Mine Train (which should be open by the time we go)?

Mine was not available any earlier than the 60 days, although I have read one or two reports of people being able to make FP+ reservations before 60.

I honestly think you will have no problem getting exactly what you want even if you can't make your reservations until later in the day. We are going during spring break and there are still FP+ available for tier 1 rides just 7 days out from our trip.

It's not that we want FP, we want FP *at specific times*. I have my touring schedule planned around getting specific times. I'm worried the 'best times' will book up.

OK, I just went online and was able to get TSMM for any time on Friday May 2nd. Since the 60-day window opened up for 2nd May a couple of days ago, I think you will be OK. Obviously, there are no guarantees but I have yet to read about anyone not being able to get their pick of rides and times at 60 days out.

Thank you, I appreciate that data point!

I'm confused about this. We go in August and stay off site. I got the Impression that the only way we will be able to book FP+ will be when we get to the parks on the actually day. So if people are booking FP+ 60 days in advance what chance have we got of booking any on the day when we get to the parks?
Have I understood it right?
This whole system is looking worse and worse to me, we are booked for 3 weeks in August and my hubby has booked for the following year because in UK you get a better deal booki well in advance but it still costs an arm and a leg and takes ALOT of saving. But this is now putting me off the idea altogether NOTHING seems appealing about this new FP+

You don't need to make them so far in advance. We only book day off and only TSM is ever an issue and I need specific times .

You will be fine , no need to worry . Just show up at rope drop for DHS and EP at least once so you can ride TT/Soarin in the same day and can get onto TSM right at opening.

Reports so far have been that there are plenty day-of FP available

I think timing might become more important once the Mine Train is up and especially if offsite can prebook by then.

Oh thanks for the replies.

I love Florida and I so look forward to our trip but I keep getting deflated thinking about it.
