what time brkfst PS when switching resorts?

thinking of trying to get 10am PS at both Chef Mickey's & Cape May
Chef Mickey's is the morn we switch from Pop to WL
Cape May for when we switch from WL to BCV
should we checkin to the resorts first? or go to an earlier brkfst then checkin? dont want cold food that we have to wait forever for even with a PS but also want better choice of rooms

just looking for your suggestions too - thank you

The food won't be cold at 10am as we had breakfast at both Chef Mickeys and Cape May this past Jan about 10:30am and the food was hot and fresh both times. We were not rushed at all and I believe that they continue to seat until at least 11am.
Personally, I would check into the new resort first then go to breakfast. Have fun!

In the past we have packed up, gone to our new resort(Poly), checked in, dropped off our luggage, and made it to Chef Mickeys in plenty of time for our 8:00am PS. Doing this got us to MGM by 9:30.

We leave the resort we are at, luggage gets taken via Disney people to new resort, we go to new resort, check-in and then go have our character breakfast. The only problem I would see is if you stay at a DVC villa. Then you can get checked in but no way will you be able to get into your room until much closer to 4 pm. In that case I would just go directly to breakfast and then check-in. Then you could be much more leisurely about checking out of the first resort and getting to breakfast. Then eat, go check-in, and maybe go for a swim or a quick trip to nearby park until room is ready.
