what taxi company to get from Universal to Disney?

i seem to recall that Disney's unofficial taxicab company is Checker Cab?

would they be the best taxi company to call for a one-way ride from Universal to Disney?

Mears quoted me a rate of $25 - $30 for that taxi fare.
would other taxi companies have the same rate?

can any of you Orlando locals recommend some good taxi companies to call?

i'm looking specifically for taxi companies in this thread, not towncars.

Suggest you might give a call to the conceirge desk of the hotel (toll call). They'll be able to tell you not only which cabs are available but which are reliable.

I'd really work on a rental car. Much easier. Sometimes the travel search engines (expedia. travelnow..)get better rates.
