I've been thinking about buying some of the classic t.v. shows on dvd. What shows do you have? Do you really enjoy having them and how often do you watch the dvds? I would like to get the Golden Girls, Jeffersons, etc...
I don't have any except recent shows like Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives... But I really want a Who's the Boss and Three's Company collection... that would be great! My dad wants Sanford and Son.
Besides the Disney Treasures discs, the only TV shows we've gotten on DVD are one South Park disc and the first 2 SCTV sets; want to get the rest of the SCTVs as soon as we can afford them...
My favorites are
Little House on the Prairie;1-9
Dr Quinn; 1-7
Party of Five; 1 and 2
Leave it to Beaver; 1
Father Murphy; 1 & 2
Full House; 1
Different Strokes; 1 & 2
The Brady Bunch; 1
DH's favorites
In Living Color; 1-5? all thats out
Jamie Kennedy; 1-3? all thats released
The Chappelle Show; 1
Fresh Prince of Bel Air; 1
Lost; 1
Ones I still want
Andy Griffith
Gimme a Break
Growing Pains
Silver Spoons (when its released)
and I could go on and on
Edited to answer the rest of OP's questions, I do watch the ones I picked
out vs DH, I had never seen Dr Quinn much in its original showings but it was recommended since I like Little House and it became my 2nd fav series, and I do watch them again and again, some not as much as others, but I do enjoy rewatching them especially those that aren't in syndication reruns now.
I watch series more than movies, course I can pop one in my laptop and watch it while the guys are playing video games on the main TV

I'm sure I have more, but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
TV on DVD is THE greatest invention since the TV itself. No commercials, watch when you want to and if you happen to fall asleep during the show, no problem, back up a chapter and watch it again the next night!
I have the classic Twilight Zone and the old B&W Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Hubby isn't thrilled these are Black and White and won't give them a chance. Sorry but these are classics. I watch alone.
Hubby has several Simpsons, Ren and Stimpy, Family Guy and Muppets. We love the Muppets and will watch an episode of the cartoons every so often when we don't have time for a full movie.
