What Surprises have you planned for any of your Disney vacations?

I bought a segway tour of Celebration for us to do in December. My DD has wanted to do this for a long time. She will really be excited!

I'm going to lay out the Tiana dress w/ a glittered invitation from Cinderella to come to the Castle for breakfast. ( what 4 year old wouldn't blow their mind on that one??) :confused3

That is SUCH a cute idea. when i have kids and hopefully can take them i hope to remember that! You should also do the magical call thing where you can have a character call her on the phone.

The problem with booking a trip nearly a year in advance is there are so many little surprises they take up an entire suitcase... :goodvibes

I have small candy snack for distraction.

Tee Shirts for all of us (9) with a big thank you to Grandma and Papa on the backs for taking us to Disney!!!

I designed invitations to be left by Mickey for the super special things planned.... MNSSHP, Chef Mickey's Breakfast, Pirate Cruise, Illuminations Cruise, Pirate League for the boys, 1900 Parkfare dinner, & mickey's Backyard BBQ,

I have a gift basket arriving the day we get there from Baskets by Betsy with mickey ears, an ornament and a canvas tote just for my parents.

I bought books with all the Disney Characters for the kids to use for autographs.

Light sticks, Glow-in-the-dark bracelets (enough to share with others!), personalized disney books and PJs for the kids, Mickey Halloween buckets for the kiddos, mickey matchbox cars, small figurines of their favorite characters, disney straws for the parks!!!!

We leave next week and this thread has been so inspirational. I thank you all for sharing some great ideas!!pirate:

This thread is so much fun! We have a weekend trip planned to take DD to MNSSHP next month. It's one week before her birthday -- but also one week before DH's birthday. Now I'm thinking I'll need to slip in a surprise for him too -- like Richard Petty's Driving Experience. Still a bit of time to work out the logistics, but I think I can pull this one off. I'm excited already!

Does anyone have any idea about Disneymoon surprises? So far I have us booked in a resort he doesn't expect, I got MNSSHP, and a floral arrangement with Stitch since that's his favorite character, any other suggestions?

A carriage ride at Port Orleans...beautiful....

We are doing the haunted carriage ride! I am very excited about that!

Also may I ask how to put banners and such in your signature line? I have no idea where the sig line even is??

So last time we went I surprised DH. I had preordered a nice bottle of wine with disney glasses to be delivered to our room. When they knocked at the door I said Hon please answer that I'm tired and he grunted and opened the door and was very happily surprised.

This year I am surprising him with the Wanyama (sunset) safari. I have been keeping it a surprise for almost 5 months (I feel like I am going to explode). I don't how to surprise him. I printed out all the info on it and was going to give it to him on the plane but I thought maybe I'd wait until we got there, since he hates plane rides.

I even thought of showing him the tour and getting him excited about it and them saying, damn its all sold out and then springing it on him. I know he's going to love it. We are both big time animal lovers.

Any thoughts??

I think I just figured out what I am going to do. i just bought a Grumpy Polo shirt on ebay. DH really doesn't wear polo, but he needs to wear a collared shirt to Jiko which is part of the wanyama safari. So. at the hotel, when he opens it he's going to be like "Hon, you know I don't really wear these" and then i'll tell him he needs a collared shirt to go on the safari and surprise him with it.

I am so excited i think this going to be a great way to do it.

Who did you order the wine through? Thanks

The wife and I are making a rare trip in November to the world by ourselves -- second time in 24 years!!!

I have the Epcot Segway tour planned as well as the Wishes Dessert Party. She will have no clue about any of this until it happens. I trust she will appreciate it!!!

The surprise that was planned was actually for me. We were at Disney for the Summer baseball tournament and I was celebrating my 50th birthday. My DH and boys surprised me with a full sheet cake for my birthday so that the whole team and families could enjoy it with us. I was thrilled and surprised that they would do something like this. When I got home and got the credit card bill, I was really surprised because they used my credit card to pay for it.:rotfl: Of course they thought that was funny. We still get a laugh at that.

I'm surprising my DH with a Steam Train tour. He really likes trains, and I think he's going to be totally surprised. He has no idea Disney even does these.

We'll be celebrating our 20th the month before our trip. I can't wait to see DH's face. I'm just telling him it's early EMH that day, and we'll walk over from BLT that morning. He'll find out when the tour starts.

The feeling of surprising DH just makes me so happy. :lovestruc

I cannot wait to go on our trip.

Steam Train Tour? So cool... can you point me to more information? Edit: never mind, I found it, but thanks for a GREAT idea. DH is going to love it!

We tend to stick close to budget, so we try to do "free" surprises. The best one was our second MK day... I rushed DD (5) over to Tinkerbell's Treasures so she could wake up Tink. I wouldn't tell her where or why we were going, (in case we didn't make it in time). She LOVED it!
DS (2) got to ride the fire engine up Main Street with Daddy... also pretty cool.

I think it was:

http://www.disneyflorist.com/

It was a little pricey but worth the surprise. The one I got is not on there anymore. It was just a bottle of wine in a basket and 2 disney glasses. To this day I love drinking out of those glasses. Reminds me of how much fun we had.

The one I did included our Disneymoon ears, champagne, two glasses, cheeses, crackrs, and candy! Along with some Stitch themed items, all for $125

I just wish I could find some more Stitch themed surprises! When I say my DH LOVES him, I seriously mean it lol...He loves running around the house yelling "Nalaquista!!!" I swear he is a big kid lol

I live in FL so we come at least once a yr..my mom and i always plan some sort of surprise but this yr im trying to come up with some cool idea for the room delivery i have seen what you can order but what i want to know is has anyone done something different that isnt shown on the website?
