What supplies should I have for an OKW 1 br. villa? Do they give you dishwasher detergent, etc?

I missed not having a dishtowel this time. We had plenty of paper towels (even an extra roll). You should have enough dish detergent and dishwasher detergent in the room.

Iusually pick up coffee, coffee filters, salt and pepper, chips, dip, cookies, English muffins, ham cheese, butter, half and half, soda, tea bags, laundry tablets, softener sheets, laundry pre-wash stick, a small can of room deodorizer for the bathroom. They have a dish towel in the room usually, if they don't call and ask for one. They have a small bottle of dish deteregnt, a few packages of dishwasher soap, paper towels, a couple of those coffee filter packs to get you started. They have a box of Tide soap powder, and I think a thing of Downy softener too.

There is usually one regular coffee pack and one decaf. I bring a few coffee filters from home, even if I buy my coffee there.

I've never had any fabric softener there. There is a single-use box of Tide, which is supposed to be replenished on Trash & Towel day and on housecleaning days. I throw some Tide tablets in my suitcase and put some fabric softener sheets into a ziploc bag to bring with. Much less expensive than buying a whole box there.

;)

I also bring either Brillo or SOS with me. Those pans at OKW can be nasty to clean, especially if you are used to dealing with non stick at home. :)
I also bring my bacon rack for the microwave.

We usually pick up a 4 pack of our favorite toilet paper. I do not like the tp that DVC provided and we always run out of what they leave us. It's nice to have our favorite and a comfort to know you won't run out when you need it most.

I always pack a suitcase with non-perishables...includeing sugar, salt and pepper shakers, saran wrap etc. We also bring our own beach towels to use for showering as well along with some laundry detergent tabs. There is nothing better than feeling you are right at home. If you are a coffee or tea drinker , that as well with the filters. Leave it all there when you pack up and use the suitcase for all of your great souvineers.:smooth:

We were in desperate need of a sharp knife on this last trip. The only thing we found in the 2 bedroom we were in was a "sharp" butter knife! The first thing I bought when we returned home was a paring knife and put it in our suitcase for the next trip.

As others have mentioned, salt and pepper.

In addition to the items already mentioned I take a can of non stick vegetable spray as well as a Brillo pad to tackle the frying pan. I have brought my own non stick pan in the past. Because we do a little cooking I bring aluminin foil and zip lock bags for left overs. Last week at BWV I had a dish towel but no pot holders. When we go over a holiday I bring themed paper napkins and candles. I bring bath salts for the jacuzzi. We have shipped a box with pampers and the non perishables to our resort. When we had 3 DGD in pampers this saved a lot of room in the luggage and the moms had the brand they liked.

Sharp knives are usually in the small drawer to the right of the stove.

HUH?!?!? WE just got back a week ago, and we had dishtowels both on arrival and on trash/towel day and full cleaning day. Any time you are missing something, just call housekeeping and they will have it to ASAP. They no longer keep mixers in the units, but they will bring you one if you ask. Same goes for the placemats and hot pads.

I would bring your coffee and food supplies picked up at the grocery on the way in. I would also pack laundry detergent if you don't like Tide or need more than one load every 4 days. I usually pack along travel salt and pepper shakers too. Also bring foil or Saran wrap if you think you need it.
