On the park times for Sunday January 21st it lists the park opening at 9am and it lists a special ticketed event for 7:45-9am. What is this event? I can’t find anything under special events?

On Sundays and Tuesdays there is an event called "Early Morning Magic." It is $69 per adult and $59 per child. It gets you into the park at 7:45 AM for a special breakfast and to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan. The lines are short because they only sell a limited amount of tickets and it is really expensive. If you

If the disney after hours event is going on during your trip, I'd recommend that a lot more than early morning magic. It is $119 ($50 more expensive than early morning magic) and you can walk onto many rides like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but the event is 3 hours after the park closes, most rides are open, and there is barely anyone in the park.

What makes EMM worth the price to me is the ages of our grandkids 1 through 5. There is no way they could do DAH. But if we were all adults I’d love to give it a try!

Early Morning Magic

Disney Early Morning Magic takes place from 7:45 AM to 10:00 AM on select Sundays and Tuesdays. Admission is available for $69 per adult and $59 per child (tax not included).

Without that link, I couldn't find that listed under special tickets on the site. Thanks.

*Where is the breakfast that is included?
*If we don't do that, and get in at 9am when park officially opens, are the lines for Mine Train already long? I usually avoid going to parks that had EMH because the lines are already long for the popular attractions.

Oops, just found the breakfast is at Village Haus. So my only question is if we go to the park at official rope drop of 9am, will the lines be long for fantasyland already?

They only admit around 200 people to EMM and most of those will have have had their fill of Fantasyland by rope drop. We did EMM last June and are doing it next week. It's fun with a surprisingly good breakfast but has no affect on park crowds.

Well, if you go AT 9 a.m., yes, lines will start to be long. It's always recommended showing up BEFORE rope drop to avoid the mass crowds all entering at the same time. You want to be at the front of that pack of people.

I see you found the breakfast. It's a buffet, not widely varied. Many people love it, we were quite disappointed in the quality. We had done EMM at DHS before this one and felt the food was much better. I was told by CMs that the DHS meal was provided by Disney Event Group which does their special things (Club Villain) and corporate events. While folks here reported MK meal is made at BOG kitchen. For the price I expected much better.

And be aware that there is no guarantee rides will be open. 7DMT was not operating our morning until a few minutes before park opening. At that point the crowds were flooding into Fantasyland. So with only Pooh, Peter Pan and the Carousel ................

Again, many fans and no problem selling it out - it just was not worth it for us. At the time DHS was worth it for us and hoping it comes back when SWL opens.

Ok Thanks. I think we will pass on this one. We did buy tickets to the After Hours event on the 19th so I think that will be more worth the cost.

What?! 7DMT wasn’t running for EMM? I have plans to attend with my 17 year old son....he doesn’t care about PP or Pooh, but we both love 7DMT, which was the big sell for us. I hope it’s running the day we have scheduled. That’s super disappointing to hear.

We are adults (although DS is disabled) and this was ALL ABOUT him getting to ride 7DMT over and over. He waited FOREVER for them to build, would stand on bridge watching workers or the car testing, he watched the dedication ceremony online live, we drove 8 hours just for him to ride as soon as it opened and it's one of his favorites ................ so yes, it was quite the blow to our $150.

What they did was give us a pass that we could ride as much as we wanted FP+ line until noon .............. but when you plan your day so far in advance, we had early FP+ booked elsewhere out of Fantasyland so we could roll one after that. We didn't want to forfeit those rides to hang around Fantasyland with the crush of young families. So it was of no use for us. So we rode a couple times before they opened the Standby line, had our breakfast and just left the area.

Now the Disney After Hours ............... AWESOME and worth every penny.

Aww man, that makes me so sad, Hopper. I’m sorry that happened.

I wish we could do the after hours! We have a family trip planned for Feb & my oldest couldn’t come (wrestling tournament) so after crying for 3 weeks, I came up with the brilliant idea of a mom-son trip. They don’t have the after hours the weekend we’re there. That’s a bummer, cause it sounds like it would be more our speed.

Just wanted to add that it can happen, but it’s not all ‘that’ common an occurrence. Happened to us one time, happened to @HopperFan, and I’ve seen isolated reports occasionally... but I’d put it pretty low on the ‘things to worry about’ list, personally.

Like @HopperFan, when it happened to us they gave us unlimited access to the FP line through noon that day. Unlike @HopperFan, that worked perfectly for us and our individual touring style...in some ways we secretly liked it better (note, I have young kids so we were spending a lot of time ‘around’ Fantasyland anyway).

Managers were on hand to explain what was going on and I thought they handled it very well (which is a compliment because a lot of times Disney doesn’t handle situations all that well).

Anyway, have fun!

Oh have a fun trip!! I go often with DS1 and we do the parks at his pace and rest often. In a few weeks going with both DS so that is great brother time too, Mom rides alone mostly. But the short trips I do with DS2 (adult) at our fast pace are so much fun! Enjoy!!

Thanks! I am secretly looking forward to that trip more than our family trip in Feb. He’s an awesome kid and I know he’ll be a great sport about everything.

Enjoy your upcoming trip! I hope you guys have a blast! As much as I love one on one time with each of my kids, seeing the boys together having fun makes my heart happy.

Thanks! Hopefully it won’t happen, but if it does, at least I’ll be prepared.
Any idea of why it happens when it does?
