What sparked your latest urge to go to WDW?

The fact the WDW is the best stress relief from work that I have found. With all the changes that seem to affect every business today my work is more stressful now than at any time in the 24 years I've been working with my company. I've done overtime in every pay-period since sometime in 2004.

Had one customer recently where I got the unit for a lengthy calibration at 5 pm, and worked till 3 am the next morning. I wasn't finished, but was too tired to continue. Showed back up at 8:30 to finish. Customer didn't care, all they did was complain that it wasn't ready at 8.

In 79 days we'll be at AKL for 9 days of pixie dust. I am SOOOO Ready :) !!!

.... for this trip we are leaving for on Monday - it was checking late August for Southwest fares and finding RT was $115@!! Add that to my DS and DD moaning about the fact that we hadn't takem a summer vacation, and DD's express wish that she "NEEDS" to get back to the WL!!!!
Well, no WL this trip - but 9 nites in a pool villa, MNSSHP, 4 days of hopping and DQ should do the trick....!!!!

my husband and i just booked a trip today. going down after thanksgiving for 5 days without the kids. getting back on topic, for me it is disney addiction.

Did not get to do everything I wanted last time I was there. :teeth: so naturally I needed to go back!!

For me, it was renting the game "Disney Golf" for Playstation 2 with my boyfriend. We had just been to the world in March, and in June we rented this game. The game is very fun for kids and adults, but the thing that's best about it is the music! The music sounds just like what they play in Epcot when you're walking around future world! :cool1: Since my last trip I had seen plenty of pictures of WDW, but it was hearing that Disney music that you hear when you first walk into Epcot and are so excited to see everything that did me in.

Once I heard that wonderful music, I was done for...and kept hinting about another Disney trip until my mom finally said, ok, we'll go!

What did it for you?
Speaking of the music at Epcot.Does anyone know of anywhere, that I can find a cd of the music from Epcot? I love that music there in futureworld. Please help me out if you can. Send me a pm with any info.thanks. :confused3

To follow the topic: My parents never took us to Disney. It was Panama City for us every year.As an adult,my wife and I went in 1987 for my first time. Went again in 1990,91,92.Then started going back to Disney with our two DD in 1998.We have been going down there every year now, since 1998.What does it for me?
It's the magic of disney,as a child, growing up watching the different disney shows and movies. There is some thing special about being there.I can't explain it in words, but I bet most all you know what I am talking about.Yeah,it has gotten quite expensive to go there;but hey! So what! It's only money! What's more important,is the time to be with our families and loved ones(as we all know, none of us gets to spend as much time with our families as we would like;especially in this day and time).Enjoying each other's company, building memories that will last a lifetime.
I know that there are other places in this great USA to go to and see;but for now, while we are all still under one roof,we'll choose disney.Because there,we can all be children, even for just a moment in time;and NOBODY is gonna say a word about it.
Thanks and lets all have a zippity-doo-dah,Disney day!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :grouphug: :love1:

ROFLMBO!!! That was going to be my reason too! I think we have become Jerry Groupies!

The Jellyrolls meet, combined with a great Jet Blue sale, and a Mom who has always wanted to see the Christmas decorations....OH how could I say no?

just one word..... Jellyrolls!

Jellyrolls in Dec. and then a girls only trip March 19th - 22nd. No parks, just the pool and Jellyrolls at night

I don't have such a happy, uplifting reason for planning this trip, unfortunately. My DH's brother was murdered a couple of years ago, and the past 2 1/2 years have been h**l for DH. Finally, the trial ended, the perp was put away for the rest of his life, and we decided to kickstart our lives again...so, this trip was put in motion! What better way to put a positive spin on life?

my last trip sparked my urge to go again! also...with all the responsibilities that i have day to day, it is the only chance i get to be a big kid! a whole week to be crazy and all i worry about is how badly my cheeks will hurt from smiling for a week straight!

Current urge....F&W, 10/23 - 29th. It's the only way I can watch the Funai Classic on TV. If I were not going I would not watch!! Next urge....12/3 -12/9.
Need to see the Christmas decorations. After that? 1/5 - 1/11.....have to run the 1/2 marathon with DW...already paid the entrance fee and I'm running 6 miles a day, so what the heck.......next urge? 5/7 - 5/12 .....time for the Flower Festival at Epcot!! Then....I repeat the formula for '06/'07!! :cool1: :sunny:

ROFL! This had better be one heck of a meet if we are all going down specifically for it. :cool1: Of course the fact that its surrounded by Disney doesnt hurt either. ;)

My granddaughter Haley is turning 2 in November. I took my other granddaughter, Skye, for the first time when she turned 2. I have to keep it all even don't I?lol Seriously, I'm always set to ready to go to WDW. Just push my button and watch me go!

Just one word...DING!

I got great ding rates and an urge to go to MNSSHP. $120 total round trip for 2 and Mickey.

Life is good!

I got a surprise from my boss telling me that I was eligible for overtime and I did not know it...I had worked a lot of extra hours recently and was told to submit them to payroll...2 weeks later I got a nice surprise in my paycheck. Seemed like "free money"...so what else would I do with it other that take my family to DisneyWorld!!!

Sweet!

The 50th celebration. Just seemed like time to return! :cool1:

  DH has been having a bad time at work (surrounded by idiots kind of stuff) and came home one night and said: "I can't wait until next October. Let's go to Disney this October."

Hi Disney Queen, we also live in Savannah! I know we are only 5 hours away but I wish I was only say 15 min. away! I too always have the urge to go to WDW, and am constantly trying to figure out when and how to get back "home" to my happy place!

Actually, this trip came as surprise. My in-laws actually invited us to join them on their trip to WDW. I have been wanting to go back since our last trip in 2002. When they asked my husband if we would like to join them, he said yes and then, he asked if I would like to go (silly question). I ended up planning the entire trip from booking the package to booking the ADRs. I feel bad because it is technically their vacation and they asked if we wanted to join them. I cannot wait to go! Only 18 more days until we leave for WDW! POR here I come! :cool1:
