What Souvenirs Are Worth The Money At A Disney Park? article on the DIS

I like to buy items we will use at home such as mugs. I particularly like my silicone Mickey ice tray. My son is a swimmer so uses his WDW towels a lot. Last trip we bought a brown bear plush from Wilderness Lodge that is a puppet. He has been well loved. We also enjoy Christmas items and have Disney stockings and a special plate and cup for Santa's cookie and milk.

I really think it is up to the individual person. If they will get enjoyment from the souvenir then I think it is worth it for them. For me I really like to purchase T-Shirts, Hoodies, clothing type stuff that I can wear for years and years after my vacation. My family goes practically every year so I have quite a few T-Shirts and now I even where some of those T-Shirts to other WDW trips.

The tins with the mints (similar to altoids) when empty are a great thing-a-ma-jig holder! DD puts bobby pins and hair accessories in them!

You can find the tins near the check out counter - I found mine at Epcot MouseGears on the bottom shelf in the check out line

Tee shirts and hats, which I bring on every Disney trip. But the very best souvenirs are character photos -- like the one at the left of this message right now!

I almost forgot - what is on our wall in our living room...
Our English Crest with our name and heritage - we had it framed and shipped to our home back a few years back.
Lovely reminder of our great-grandparents place of birth.
Yes it cost about $150 - but worth every penny.
No one knows it even came from WDW

Keyrings. Cheap, practical, see them daily.

Green one is my work keys.

Mickey Head is my car keys. My extra set is on the Minnie version. Took me two years to find her, didn't think about having a matching set until I got home. Looked every trip until they had them again, couldn't even find them on ebay. Love the set that my car keys are on so much that I bought an extra set, just in case.

Going to up load a picture.

Got them at World of Disney.

The silicone one was at the register, in those bins of things that you can't resist picking up while waiting in line. Maybe $3

The metal Mickey/Minnie heads were around $7-$8 per keyring and were back in the middle room that connects men's to accessories hanging on the round turners with a billion other keychains.

I go for Christmas and NYE each year. Every year I get the mug with the new year on it. They do different designs each year and they keep getting bigger. I have every year from 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. I'll be getting 2016 this year. My family is yet to complain about having too many. I'll give them another year or two. Totally worth it and a nice keepsake.

It's funny... I used to not want anything with Disney on it (I was a teenager and in my early 20s.) Now I wear my Disney fandom with pride.

This thread makes me sad because I screwed up. When we were there two weeks ago, I fell in love with a set of 4 glass Christmas ornaments that were painted to look like Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. I had that set in my hands 4 times. I even had it in my hands, in line, at the Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square, but there was an issue with the transaction for the person in front of me and we had an ADR to get to so I put them back on the shelf and left. I never did by them, and boy do I regret it! *sigh* oh, well. I am excited for all of you that have cherished items to remind you of your trips!

Disney merchandising - 1-877-560-6477 -- Monday to Friday 9 to 5:30 eastern. Tell them what store you saw them in and describe them and there is a very good chance that you can have those in your hands in about a week. You will have to pay shipping, but it is better than regretting it! Plus, if you say you are going to wait until next time, there is a good chance that they will not still have that set next time. I made that mistake with a set of Christmas ornaments I was sorry I did not buy. Make that mistake and you are stuck with ebay and inflated prices on discontinued Disney merchandise!

My favorite souvenir from every trip is our Disney Photopass Photobook. I make one every trip with a mix of our pictures and the photopass pictures. . We look back at them all the time since we have them sitting out at a table and on a shelf at the house-we are much more inclined to pick those up and look at them regularly than we would be to sit down an open a file on the computer. I also really like pens. They can be the really nice Disney pens, or just the cheap ones that come in the package of multiples. When you pick up one to write, you get a little Disney in your day. We also enjoy pins and pin trading and keep a couple of Disney pin corkboards on the walls at the house.

I love my photo album made with the memory maker back then it was photo pass +, and the wooden frames to put the special moments pics :D

I second the photos. My favorite souvenir is my memories and the photos represent them and keep them alive. The magic shots just add to the fun and make them even more special.

The Disney baseballs at around $7.95 are a great deal. I have about 10 different designs or so sitting on a shelf in my office. Great way to get an inexpensive souvenir that doesn't fall apart over time. I also collect coffee mugs, but they've gone way up in price over the last 10 years.
