What sorts of people are unsung heroes in your opinion?

Teachers. A good one who really enjoys their job and enjoys the kids is the biggest hero in my book (and no I'm not a teacher). They don't get paid much, in the district I live in they have to supply their own supplies for their classroom.
The DIS sure opened my eyes about how poorly paid and treated teachers are in some parts of the U.S. Especially living in an area where Teachers have a strong union and clearly are much better compensated.

Police officers. They put their lives on the line every day. My Dad was an officer and he delivered babies, was the first at a car wreck and did life saving procedures while waiting for the Ambulance plus handling a lot of other things.
Firemen: My grandson is a firefighter and he does the life saving and first aid the same as the police, plus putting out fires:) They both are extremely brave and I;m proud of them.

I keyed on the word "unsung" which led me to think about all of the blue-collar workers out there.

The ones that brave the storms to get our electricity back on. The mechanics/techs that keep the semi-trucks on the road and the truckers that keep the shelves stocked. The techs that keep our furnaces and A/C units humming. And the list goes on....

I wouldn't call them heros exactly, but I totally agree with the sentiment of this. And let's add everybody in the building trades and farmers/farm workers. We owe the roofs over our heads and the food on our tables to them. :goodvibes

Solders & Police - all of them - past & present - men / women & animals - they put their lives on the line for us! ❤️❤️
