She's tough to buy clothes for! She's 5'5" and 95 lbs. So: tall and thin for her age. I want to buy it in the girls vs. women's section to save money!! She has long arms so I'm torn between the Large and Xtra large. I think the XL for arm & torso length but will she swim in it because of her small frame !?!

If she has long arms, go with the womens sizes, not youth. I just bought my 12 year old DD a small in women's sizes for xmas. She tried on a youth size and it was too hard for her to get it over her head.

She is a couple inches shorter than your daughter and weighs about ten lbs less.

My DS is 14, but is 5'5" and around 100 pounds. He wears youth large in Under Armour hoodies. I mistakenly purchased him a youth x-large last year, and he is still swimming in it. He only has normal sized arms though - he is a soccer player, so it is his legs that are larger :)

There is no way that he could wear an adult small - it would swallow him.

Bought dd12 a ladies' medium. Shes about 5'4" and 110 pounds. And it fits and is not big at all.

UA seems to run smaller to me and for the price I don't want her to quickly grow out of it.

5'5 and long arms I'd definitely go ladies sizes.

My 11 year old son is about 5'2" the large kids just fits. I went xl for the Christmas gift one. At 5'5" I would go ladies.

I find that the adult smalls have longer arms & torsos, but a narrower body than a youth xl (in just about all manufacturers). My kids are both tall and thin, DS12 is 5'5" and 105#, and wears adult smalls. Kids xl have arms & torsos that are too short, but you could fit 3 of them in the body of the sweatshirt.

I would go with the women's size for her--the XL youth sizes seem to be so big through the body for my DGS-but I find that the adult small fits well in the arms for him and is slimmer cut through the body part of the shirt.

Just received by UPS my youth XL for my DS12 and DS14. They are about 90pounds and around 5 foot tall. The XL seems short and wide. If I had been in the store, I would have looked at the mens small to see if it was more long and narrow. Is the mens size a different price? I'm wondering if I try to exchange whether they won't give me the same 25% off price going from a youth to a mens. I ordered from Dick's.

Yes, men's and women's sizes are a different price than youth.

The adult price is higher than the youth. The 25% off UA hoodie sale is going on though. I would get a mens size.
I bought my son both a mens medium UA last year and a Youth XL when he was 5'.
The Mens medium was long, but he still liked it and wore it all the time.
He has had grown to 5',5" this year. None of his youth XL are long enough, but the mens medium fits good. I'm so glad I ordered big last year so we could get more than just one winter's wear with it!
I do not notice mens sweatshirts being more narrow than boys like you will notice sometimes with the difference between women/girl fit.

I have a 14 yr old who is 5'6" and 96 lbs - we go with the women's small. They're more fitted, so they don't look too huge. My other DD that usually wears a small or extra small got the women's medium.
