What silly thing do you look forward to the most when heading to the World?

I look forward to restocking my Disney shampoo supply! I love the smell - it makes my morning :)

Well, this might sound completely crazy but I'm looking forward to seeing all of the WAFFLE HOUSES when I drive to WDW in 13 days. We're Waffle Houseless here in New England. Whenever I glimpse the first Waffle House, I know we're getting closer.

Honorable mention to Bob Evans.

I'm also looking forward to the Count-the-Cracker-Barrel-signs game we always play in the car. :goodvibes

Another shout out to Waffle House! We don't have them in Illinois and we eat at one one the way to FL and on the way back....

But in the World, I look forward to entering the MK for the first time. Going under the train station and looking down Main Street makes me cry every time.

The silliest thing my dd and i say every trip is "hold hands and no disco dancing"

That's mine and DH's favorite too! We just point and say "No dancing on the ride!!!" (It really kinda started at DL Paris 'cuz no one could really understand my southern twang!)

Coming from the south, Waffle House is a staple. Now they are building Drive-thru Waffle Houses! Can you imagine?

If I built one in NY, do you think I could make money?

easy.....hands down......

"please stand clear of the doors. por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas."

but i love how the last part sounds like alejadodelaspuertas......all smushed together :goodvibes

my eyes well up the first time i hear that every trip......:rotfl:

anytime your menu is a set of pcitures - you have a winner

but only if your feet stick to the floor like glue when you walk.......:rotfl:

The only time i set foot in a waffle house is at 3:00 AM when i am drunk.....lol

so the drive thru would be an irresponsible move for me......lol

or as jim gaffigan would say "I will have the plaid pancake"

Coming down the stairs of the BW hotel and seeing the Boardwalk for the first time... hearing the music, seeing the boats, the people. I say to myself everytime, "I love it here so much". Stopping to take in the atmosphere.

Also, crossing the bridge towards Epcot WS entrance in anticipation of a great day.

Great thread, OP!

Oooohhh great thread!

-being at the airport in the middle of the night (we take overnight flights and i love airports)
-the smell of pirates of the carribean (i love that whole queue area)
-the smell of suntan lotion
-getting into bed after a looooong day at the parks, feeling so exhausted, yet feeling so giddy about doing it all over again the next day

I do this too! It was the first spanish I ever learned :cool1:

I know this is silly, but my DH and I always repeat the monorail instructions in spanish which tell you to stand clear of the doors. And when I hear it I get emotional. I also LOVE when they say "Welcome home" when you arrive at check-in, it used to be only as DVC members now they all say it!

I love the Orlando airport, i know it's not Disney but still it's a great moment when you walk into the atrium and look up at all the balcony's.

My favorite part of Disney is when you drive under the Arch :)

The ambient music in future world! Drinking Smart Watermelon, and then riding The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

Those manatees are our favorite part of Disney. I cried when I got there last time and found out that Kringle had finally been set free.

Does anyone know if Lou (the one with no tail fin) is still there?

Sorry if someone else already replied to this...

But yes, Lou is still there; as are two others... I know one is Jasper, not sure about the other one.

I love seeing the light at Fulton's in POR welcoming us home after a long day in the parks.

My thing is the Spanish safety spiel on the rides - "Para su seguridad mantengase los manos, brazos, pies y piernas dentro del vehiculo"
