What silly thing do you look forward to the most when heading to the World?

I HAVE to watch the Countdown of all the rides and attractions in Disney World as soooonnn as I get into my room! :P I don't know why but I just love it :) :) I love Staceyyy! :) what a princess that girl is :) hahaha. And I also love being at the Mara at AKL in the morning. I love the walk over there, and I love the little cartoons they show :) I would get soo distracted I would forget to eat my croissant! :P And what else do I randomly love........The How Do You Do song from splash mountain!!!!! :) That song is soooo adorable. And I love the part of the ride where the vultures are like "We've got YOUR laughing place, right up here..." It's soo funny :) And I love the Magic Kingdom resort monorail :) It's so fun! And I lovee love LOVE when they say "Please stand clear of the doors" "Por favor montenganse alejado de las puertas" :P hahaha sooo cute. every time. I also love the smell of the Main Street Bakery and the Ice Cream Parlor in MK. SOOOOO YUMMMMYYY. And lastly....cuz this post is REALLYYY long...I love when i see Alice and Mary Poppins all at once in the UK at Epcot. They are favessss :) I get sooooo exciteddd :)

The fanfare music on the bus when we reach the MK! That is my REAL wake-up call! Before that, I am a zombie getting ready for rope-drop!

I don't know if this counts since it's not actually at Disney, but on our way to Disney. Last year DH and I drove from VA to FL for the first time, and it wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it would be. We are driving again this year too! I am always excited about the planning and anticipation of going, so packing the car and planning snacks and lunch for the car is very exciting to think about! I also get excited about our pre-drive stop at Starbucks-- I let myself get a grande (not a tall) drink of my choice AND a breakfast treat (which I never have!!). I guess it really is the little things in life.....

I know this is bad, but the first thing my daughter does is runs into the room and jumps on the bed. She is never allowed to do this at home. But we are on vacation in Disney! I take a quick picture and then we get to a park as soon as we can. :)

Riding the Train around MK! That on of my list of top 3 Favorite MUST do things when Im at WDW! I don't know why and how that started, but my vacation doesn't seem real until I ride it! That and DOLE WHIP! yep.. I said it... The other silly thing that I look forward to is just beeing there with my family and dancing and being silly and enjoying the music and parades and the parks!:rockband:party:

The strangest thing that I look forward to is the Pop Century food court. I know I'm home when I'm there! I also fell in love with the peeks peach green tea, I think it is, and I found out that it is not supplied anywhere else, only in WDW! I look forward to everything, but I think that's the silliest!

The silliest thing I love, is when I am getting off the plane at the gate. For some strange reason with all the people standing there, I always feel like I am famous! LOL. I know I am a dork, but I do, I feel like a movie star on the red carpet! That is the closest I am ever going to get to being famous, and I cannot tell a lie, I love that moment. :rotfl::rotfl:

Love this thread! DH and I are coming down for his 60th B-day in January...staying at the Swan for the first time. We've always stayed Deluxe on property but this time we thought we'd change things up..hope we won't be disappointed. Anywho..this thread really gets the Disney thoughts a jumpin'.
In no particular order:
1. The tram ride at MCO to the baggage claim...anticipation.
2. The Welcome Home.
3. The first time we put our passes in the first machine..something about that....:goodvibes.
4. Splitting that first cinnamon bun in Main Street Bakery.
5. Oh...of course...that first cold Disney beer.:dance3:

I went through some rough financial times a few years back and at that point, I thought I'd never make it to WDW again. So now, for me, I look forward to walking through that tunnel, out onto Main Street and following that curve around to see the castle at the end and even now, my eyes start to fill up with happy tears.

There are so many great things listed & it is hard not to write a book of silly things! I do enjoy putting on the huge sombreros and acting goofy with my family ;)

I look forward to CM's saying "have a magical day"! I can't help but smile every time that I hear it

Nobody in the "real" world ever tells you to have a magical day.

I The fact that just because you're so happy yourself, you can give a random 'isn't this fun' smile to a stranger and nearly always have it matched back at you.

This is perfect! I love it!

Yep, I love looking over at my DH and just seeing the joy on his face! And pure relaxation!!

Everytime we ride the monorail, the whole family (even normally shy/quiet DH) sings the monorail song from the Simpsons...

Monorail, Monorail, MONORAIL....

(Should probably explain to the kids sometime that it isn't actually a Disney song!) :lmao:

My favorite thing is having found a place to sit in the gardens in the UK at Epcot with a cold beer (and husband) watching the British Invasion perform "Hey Jude" while just about EVERYONE is singing the chorus part of it at the top of their lungs~ 15 more days to go!!!

We would see who can spot the Mickey ears in the weirdest place around where we stay first. You'd be surprised where they put them sometimes.

British that is~!

Has anyone else noticed that as you drive on to disney property the pavement becomes sparkly! Just noticed it on our last trip. So cool!

This is the OP's (Pikaboo27) DH and I can't begin to tell you all how shocked and happy this thread has made her. To know that there are just as many disney lovers out there as she and that you all have the silly thing has brought a spring to both her and I's step.
I'll add to the list and say my favorite silly thing.. and it EMBARASSES the HECK out of my DW is when you walk under the train tracks at the Magic Kingdom or at Disneyland and then start to skip till you get to that first point where you can see the castle. And no, we don't have a DD or DS yet, so its just me skipping :-) LOL Remember, Walt said, "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome" and gosh darnit, I feel super welcome everytime. :-)

Thanks to this wonderful thread, I changed one of my ADRs to a breakfast at Crystal Palace so we can sneak into the park early. My DH said it was ok, except he'll miss seeing the look on my face when the cast members wave and say welcome home! That was the very best part of our recent trip to DL. I just love the smell, no smell like Disney smell (at any park)!
