going Disney Deluxe next time and we are trying some 2ts meals. We are planning Cindy's Castle, Cali Grill, Flying Fish, Brown Derby. What other 2ts meals are family friendly?

We want a place that isn't too "nutty" since my DS has allergies and I think a lot of people say some of the restraunts are pretty nutty (an african one???)
Make sure you note the food allergy on your reservation... if you didn't, just call the dining reservations line and they can add it to all of them. Also contact special dietary requests at
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/special-dietary-requests/ For each table restaurant, the Chef will meet you first before you order. All of them were very accomodating to DS's food allergies (and his personal likes).
All of the signature restaurants we went to provided a nice experience for DH, DW and DS4 and had some way to give DS a break from a long meal in between courses. At California Grill, we went outside on the deck to watch the sunset. At Narcoosees, we walked outside on their deck to look at the Castle. At Citricos, we went into the lobby to listen to the orchestra play. Jiko was nice too. The waiters/waitresses were all wonderful and attentive to DS. At dinner, we also looked at photos and videos on the camera taken earlier in the day and talked about how much fun we had. DS liked that. Most signature meals were about 75-90 minutes. We didn't feel rushed, and DS was quite fine with that time. All of these restaurants seemed to perfectly time our appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks.
We are looking forward to a return to Cali Grill, Narcoosees, and Citricos... and trying Flying Fish and Brown Derby too.
Mickey's Backyard BBQ - Thanksgiving dinner in 2008 when DS was 3. The food was edible.. that's it. Come on, could they have "real" turkey on Thanksgiving instead of some canned/processed junk? Anyway, I guess the included beer, wine, and Mickey ice cream bars made up for it. DS3 enjoyed dancing on the floor with characters. I think older kids would have more fun with that. Mostly adults and older kids on the dance floor. Strangely, he liked the rope trick/lasso guy.
Hoop Dee Doo - I didn't think DS4 would like this, but he laughed non-stop the whole show. Go figure... And our waitress was a Hoot! Food was ok. Category 2 was fine for us.
Spirit of Aloha - DS4 enjoyed this very much. We did too. The story line is a little tacky, but we liked the food and the fire juggler at the end. I could see how some kids could get a little bored with all the dancing.
