What should we do?

Next June we are planning a 7 day trip to Disney/Universal. In the past we have stayed on Disney property and never ventured to Universal. We would like to spend a day Universal, mainly wizarding world. Our question is doing we stay the entire time at Disney and taxi one day over?

June crowds are not bad...depending on when you're visiting of course. Early June is best but towards the end of the month, the summer crowds are here in full force. Some posters recommend staying one night onsite for the unlimited Express and early entry perks but you would need to check rates to see if it's doable for you. You could even book the one night and use the room just during the day for naps or swimming or just looking around the resort.

If you decide not to stay onsite and are thinking of purchasing Express passes, I would strongly recommend waiting until you arrive to see what the lines are like. Express Passes are date and park specific and are non-refundable. Plan to arrive before opening and plan to stay all day. So many people come over for the day but then have to rush back to WDW for a show or dinner which seems silly to me. One other thing...tickets will not be cheap for a single day. Theme parks do not give discounts for one day admissions so keep that in mind as well.

Universal will be far less busy then Disney. Choose a weeday and take a taxi and get there when the park opens.
