Hello!
Hubby and I are taking our daughter (9) neice (9) and nephew (8) to
DW for 3 days. This is us, doing our excitement dance ....

My question is, what should we do on our 1st day arriving?
We will get into Orlando at about 1 and will pickup our rental car right away.
We don't want to go to a theme park this day and were looking to do something easy, fun and relatively cheap.

Should we drive to the Beach??
Should we check out another attraction (that won't take up the whole day)
or should we just roam arround????

Any input would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks ALOT!

Hi! :wave2:

Are you staying on property? If so, I'd go to the resort, check it out, maybe get a bite to eat or a cold drink. If you can get a room, great, if not, they'll hold your luggage while you explore. Then, I'd hop a bus to downtown Disney to look around and shop. If you don't want to do that, I'd take a bus to Epcot and then get on the monorail and make the loop around and maybe even get off at the TTC and take the Magic Kingdom monorail around just to see it from that perspective! You can always get off at any of the resorts and look around, too.

You might also consider a character meal for dinner that is not at a park. Chef Mickey's is great!

Good luck and have fun!

I would suggest that you check into your hotel and hang by the pool, explore the resort, or go resort hopping. We actually went to Downtown Disney the day we checked in. There are lots of stores there, but it's free to walk around :)

We always opt to head to DTD on our arrival day. Lots to do and plenty of places to eat.

If you ride the monorail I suggest doing the TTC to Epcot route as the monorail actually goes in and around Epcot--which is like being in a park withbout burning a day off your admission media

We always explore the resort, eat, and shop. We buy all our postcards and get them sent the first night. :cool1: Leaving tomorrow!

Just some suggestions:

Downtown Disney - if rainy - do the shops - Lego's, World of Mickey, Sports shop. Eat at Rain Forrest Cafe, See a new Disney movie at AMC theaters

Mini-Golf if not too hot a day

Very hot - relax & do the pool at your hotel/resort and get ready for a fun filled magical next day

We just started planning our days out for our trip and we are doing the pool our first day and then heading to downtown disney for some dinner and shopping.

Have a great trip!

Erica
