We are traveling to WDW this weekend, our first time since the new portion of MK Fantasyland has opened. What should our revised strategy be? We will be in the park at 8:00 for a CP ADR, so we should have a head start. For the first time, we are staying off site so FP+ won't be something we can count on.
What would you do? We will have 6 children and 4 adults in our party.

No advice, but I'd love to know too! I'll have Two adults, and four kids 13 and under. We love Philarmagic, Pooh, Peter Pan...and the other ones are escaping me at the moment.

I would not discount your ability to use FP+ all together esp since you will have a little bit of a jump b/c of the early ADR. Not sure if there is a kios close to or on you way to CP, but if there are and if they are open you you may want to have one or two of the adults stop off and make a few selections.

We just got back and even in Feb and "low" crowd time, Fantasyland was packed! What is most important characters or rides?

The most popular attractions with the longest waits seemed to be:
Rapunzel Meet and Greet
Merida Meet and Greet
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Peter Pan

Small world was at 5-30min wait most of the day. Dumbo hovered at 25. Belle got up to 90 min at one point. Peter Pan was at 50 by noon. Hopefully you can get FP for one of the most popular rides when you get going after your ADR.

Even with FP+ we still dind't meet Rapunzel. Sometimes you just can't get all in!

You didn't see Rapunzel at all? Should I be changing my FP+ to earlier in the day?

I'm so sorry--I think you misunderstood. I meant with 3 attractions booked (not Rapunzel) we still didn't make it to see her. We used 2 FP+ for Peter Pan and Enchanted Tales with Belle (the other for big thunder). Her wait time was always at 30+ min and we never found a good time to pop in.

If you already have a FP+ to meet her you should be good to go. We found that the attractions we had a FP+ for we did not wait at all...Literally--less than 5 minutes. It really gets you in fast!

I think Josh on easywdw has a really good Fantasyland touring plan for seeing characters and staying offsite

We did some fantasyland things right away in the AM, had a few FP's and then came back in the early evening to finish up things that we didn't finish the in AM.

In the AM right after we got there at 9:30 and after we booked our FP"s did Small World and Winnie the Pooh and Mickeys Philharmonic
Had a Fp for peter pan around 11:00ish
Had a FP for Belle around 12:35ish

(our other FP was for BTMRR so we headed off to adventureland and frontierland for the afternoon.

Later in the afternoon around 5:30 or so, we came back and really did Fantasy land then.
We did dumbo, Barnstormer, Little Mermaid, Ariel M&G, and Carousel and Cinderella/Aurura M&G.

For us the best strategy was to keep an eye on wait times via MDE. If it the wait was long we skipped it for later. If it was short, we rode it.

Thanks for the advice. I'm such a planner, I feel like I need an order. We do have several days we can use at MK, so I'm sure we can squeeze what we want in. Just hoping we can get a lot done with our early ADR.
