What should I say if I see you!

I'm so shy in game, and I guess in life, when in comes to talking to strangers.

I just feel weird running up to you, even virtual you, trying to get you to understand who I am without saying why you might know me so no one gets into trouble. LOL.

It's actually kind of funny I guess. I enter a room and feverishly click on people to see if they have "Dis" in their signature. If they do I click add as friend before they can disappear and well sometimes I just cross my fingers and hope they see the "dis" in my sig and there you go. I don't like to draw attention to myself.

So any suggestions on what I should say or do besides tap you on the virtual shoulder and then hide in the bushes.

Hi, I try to say hi using their name and hope that they look and see that i have dis in my signature and maybe they'll remember me. I will also click on add as friend. If you see me online, feel free to add me as a friend.

I was happy to see you tonight. You just happened across me. I'm usually almost always in the games and can be difficult to find.
I was also able to just barely add you to my list as I just cleaned out a couple people and my list is pretty full.

If you ever want to add me you are more than welcome to, and this goes for anyone else on the board. Alot of times I am in one of the 5 rooms I have, but mainly I have been staying in "VMK New Ride", as I can sit on the ride and go round and round while I enter codes. I have never thought of putting DIS in my signature, as I thought it would be a word that VMK would ban or it was a no-no !! So, look for my room "VMK New Ride" or if you see a Tiggerholic running around, that is me

Welcome to the boards Stacey!

It'll be easy to start filling up your friends list as soon as you get a few DIS folks on it. We seem to travel in packs heh.

So, once you've found one, jump to them, and more likely than not, you'll run into a few more DIS'ers in which you can
feverishly click on to be friends with .

Good luck in your virtual travels and I'm sure I'll run into you in the game There's always room for one more DIS'er on my list.

Hi - and

I understand that you feel shy talking to those you dont know, but it gets easier every time - especially in vmk where no one really knows YOU, just your character.

The problem with sending a friend request without talking to people is that usually you can get 10-20 random friend requests in a few days by just walking around vmk. So, those that are not "recognized" thend to get deleted.

the best advice I can give you is to make a few friends and then become friends with their friends and so on. As for meeting DIS folks, as DLRWill said, find 1 of us, and you usually find many of us.

Also, there are lots of nice people out there that aren't DIS, so dont limited yourself. I have some good friends in VMK that have no clue about DIS.

Hey Stacey! My list is full as well, but I'm due for another cleaning of that (I go through and delete people who haven't logged on in at least 2 months, unless I know them fairly well). I can usually be found in the fireworks lobby and I usually wear my Belle dress (aka yellow princess dress). Name is SorcererDonaldD. Just say "Hi Donald!" or "Hi Sorcerer!" and send me a friend request. Don't worry, I'm far less cranky than my namesake (Donald Duck).

As for putting Dis in the signature, when I tried to put just Dis in it, it didn't work but when I used " Hey Dis!" it did. Don't get why "Hey" made a difference but it did.

Welcome to Dis and vmk! How old is you dd if you're comfortable in sharing that? Many of us have kids who play, mine are 7 and 10 (the 13 yo has sadly moved to other things )
