What should I do for my 40th?

I will be 40 in April!!!! I am actually looking forward to it and I want to plan something really outrageous to do. I was going to take a trip, but the kids have school and I don't want to take them out. I was thinking of going to Cirque di Soleil <s> since it will be in NYC that weekend. Any other ideas to make it really special? DH is so bad at planning, that I am alone on this one. He will go along with whatever though. What have all of you done on a special birthday?

DH and I went to Vegas for several days for mine. My parents came to watch the kids. I did my own planning.

I wish I could do Vegas!!! I was actually thinking of that, but my DS will only be 11 months old at the time, and I don't really have anyone that can take care of him. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, April 26th falls on a Wed. Maybe I could take the kids out for 3 days and go to WDW, and stay at the G.F.. Not crazy about flying though, we always drive down.

To celebrate my 40th birthday, my best friend and I flew to Orlando. I stayed at the Contemporary. The afternoon we arrived we spent the evening at Pleasure Island, visited MK and Epcot the next day and then flew home late that night. My DH wanted me to have a day at WDW without the kids. It was great!! I had a couple of old park hoppers, so that's how we were able to park hop. Arrived at MK at opening, and we really did a lot of attractions in one day. (I got to do things my children don't enjoy when we are at WDW) Hope you have a great birthday!!

Well, since you have an 11 month old, and kids in school `I think the C-D-S idea is a good one for now. Maybe you could do that and a trip for when the kids are out for the summer.
My birthday is at the end of July. On the big 5-0, another single mom and I went to WDW with our sons. I had my birthday dinner at Hoop De Doo!
