What should I bring for my kids to get character autographs??

Yes everything came from Hobby Lobby and the "appliques" are actually "embroidered stickers." They have AMAZING super stick on the back of them and are smoothe so they can go through the "wringer" of Disney.
Thanks for the compliments. P.S. the books and stickers were both 50% off last week....not this week though. However, t-shirts are 50% off this week, yeah!!!

Way Cool! Great keepsake for your kids!

Last time i went i had a plain white t-shirt and put a piece of cardboard underneath and had all the characters sign it with a sharpie. :flower:
That is what I would suggest...then when you get home, you can turn it into a throw pillow...pillow case!

I have an 8 and 12 year old and they use the standard Disney autograph book. They share one. We glue the pictures of them with the character in the autograph book after we come home. Many of the "face" characters like to peruse the book.
Those big ones with the slot for the photo look nice, but they look bulky to carry.

My Kids have a signed Map of *the World* that they love. The next year we bought autograph albums and those are great too. One thing I do recommend is a pen that is pretty big around as it is easier for the characters to hold...Good luck!

Wow! I love all these ideas!

I love the homemade books! They are so precious!

I also love the idea of getting a matte! I am going to try that... what color markers has everyone used with this??? Did you use a sharpe??

Thanks for any advice and all this wonderful info! I love this place!

anymore ideas...

I did notice that Hobby Lobby has the mattes on sale this week!

Hello all, I made my kids their own autograph books to take.

My DD4 saw the autograph books you made and said with big wide eyes "Oh Mommy, are you buying that for me to go to DIsney?" Guess I have to make a trip to the craft store, lol!

The books are beautiful. You really did a nice job.

Mathachick...Your books are beautiful....what do the insides look like? Did you glue your pics or are they scrap book looking?

Gracey -
These are actually done by thelionqueen. (See post # 17) Look back & you will see where she originally posted them. Isn't she talented! They look great.

We used the Sharpie Click on different colors, and the blue books from the world.
Also i made a t-shirt for DD and the characters wrote on the back of the shirt.
Hey PixieDust32, we are from Jefferson,GA. My question is do the Sharpie markers bleed thru to the next page. I bought the Sharpie Clicks today and was planning on getting an autograph book when we get there, I just want to make sure it doesn't bleed. Any problems?

We did the autograph book and they worked great....but what was extra special was getting postcards of the characters and having them sign them. We started collecting the postcards well before the trip with the intention of getting single character cards of as many characters as we could but its harder than it seems (even at the parks)... so we have to settle for some group shots....oh, and use a Sharpie (bring two or three....they tend to go missing).

I didn't read thru the posts, but last time we were at Disney we took sweatshirts with fabric pens to have autographed. It was great and the kids have a unique souviner!

I didn't read this whole post, so this might be said already but...

we brought a white pillowcase and a bag of multicolored sharpies. The sharpies are big enough for the characters to hold, and the characters had fun picking the color they wanted. The pillow case is never outgrown ( we did white t-shirts once that are now too small) You may need a hard surface for the characters to write on sometimes, but my kids let them use their backs (cute pictures that way) The pillowcases are light weight and roll up into a ziploc very easily. We then put the small bag of sharpies in one small ziploc inside the big ziploc for the pillowcases. my friend even had her pillowcases embroidered with Disney Vacation 2001, I would not do this as it then might make you do a new pillowcase each time. We just took ours back over a couple of trips in 2-3 years and added new characters if we came across them. Boys have outgrown the autograph thing now, but we still have the pillowcases on their beds for decoration. Besides who dosen't like extra pillows? And they are so colorful!!
