What shoes for the kids in December?

Hi,

I'm wondering what shoes your kids wear at Disney during the winter months. I want something they can walk long distances in. They currently have Crocs for the summer, but are they a good choice for winter in Florida? I was thinking they should have warmer shoes. I am thinking of buying them each a pair of Merrells. I found them for $30-39 depending on the toddler vs. kid sizes, which is more than I usually spend on their shoes. But if I got them for their fall/school shoes that they could also wear in Disney, maybe that would be worth it. Any other suggestions? I personally love Merrells, so I know they'll give my kids the walking support they need. If they could just bring their Crocs (if they still fit of course) that would be fine though.

Crocs will be fine. I'd just let them wear them with pants and jeans. I do it all of the time in winter. I don't think that there is a more comfortable shoe or that I'll ever wear anything else to disney! I plan on letting DS wear his crocs for each trip, including winter, for the next year since we got AP's this year!

Last Dec my mom and I bought the Croc Aspens. They don't have the holes like the Beach models. I'm not sure if they come in children's sizes, but they were very comfortable and warm.

I think crocs only look good with long pants, they are my fav fall shoe! My son will use his in the summer but I only let him if we are going to the pool.

I think they would be iseal at Disney in the winter, that is what I will be wearing in November on cool days

Ok, you guys convinced me! I'll bring their crocs and one other pair of sneakers (whatever I get them for school in the fall, but not expensive). Thanks!

My kids used athletic shoes when we went last Dec. But, they are all also flip flop fiends and were able to wear them a few days as well! It seemed like early in the a.m. it was cool, warm in the middle of the day and then darn chilly around 9 at night. But nothing stops this crowd from being in the pool!
