What shoes do you wear that are comfy but also look decent?

Tevas are fantastic-they have shoes and sandals. In all my trips to disney these are what I wear.:thumbsup2

Me too!!! I love Teva's. The shoes and sandals are wonderful. I am a very large person and even after walking all day my feet don't hurt!
And they look great with capris and shorts and pants and skirts:thumbsup2

I bought some Skechers on endless.com (Negative $5 overnight shipping and free returns) to try and have been really happy. I'm with you - I can't do the big white tennis shoes and pants. Feels too Jerry Seinfeld circa 1990.

We just got back from our trip Dec 3-8, and I switched every other day alternating tennis shoes and my mary jane crocs (black ones). I didn't get any blisters or have any trouble for our week there doing this.

Hey me too!!!!
You are one smart gal!:)

I wear skate shoes, usually Vans, because they give me a lot of support and very comfy. Vans usually make more normal looking shoes, too. They do look really big but if its more for comfort I would choose them.

must say.........I LOVE MY CROCS!
I too was not too keen on wearing these plastic creations because I believe they belong on "what not to wear"--------however.........I have never been more comfy at wdw than when I broke down and purchased crocs!
They now have mary jane crocs that I think would almost look cute with capris.......you could get the pearl (which is almost white) or you could get the khaki or gold (which are light tan). Your toes are covered if it is a little colder and they are not as "clunky" looking as tradtional crocs.
p.s.
most everyone at wdw is wearing crocs or gym shoes,,,,,,,,,comfort is #1, fashion comes in as a #2 when you are there!

I have the Mary Janes in black & also a pair in silver.

They were really comfortable even though DH laughed at them.:upsidedow

I like Mary Jane shoes, but the Croc Alice shoes seem to have one problem - there isn't any drainage in a RUBBER shoe. Yeah, I'd prefer them to not have holes (I dislike the look of all the 'holey' Crocs), but if you sweat and/or go on a water ride, you're now walking around in a bathtub. I can't imagine the blisters and prune feet you'd get after an hour or two.

I just bought a pair of black Naturalizer mary janes that I've been wearing non-stop since. No break in time required. Haven't worn them with shorts, but I'm sure they'd look great w/ a pair of thin bermuda styled ones.

Good luck & have fun on your trip!!

I'm planning on bringing my Skechers z-strap shoes, and Timberland sandals, for our trip next week. I just hope it doesn't get too cold at night for my Skechers, but they are by far my most comfortable walking shoes - and it doesn't hurt that they are cute. :)

Dh and ds will both have brand new Skecher CaliGear (mock Crocs), since neither of them had waterproof footgear. I just hope they don't end up with blisters, but there's not much I can do about it now. Ds *had* some this summer, but he outgrew them! Dh isn't planning on walking in his - they are meant to be his water ride shoes, to avoid ruining his other shoes.

You can always just wear your favorite pair of flip-flops. Reefs and Eliza B's are my favorites in the park.

Check these out, comfy and adorable!

Bring some Body Glide and carry it with you. It helps to keep your shoes from rubbing when wearing without socks. It can be found at sports/running stores. I bought some from drugstore.com. If the mock Crocs rub, just have your DH and DS put some one. It is great stuff!

So I sucked it up and went shopping yesterday...ALL DAY!!! My poor DS7, he was such a trooper!!!

So here are the shoes I ended up with:

Privo by Clark: Got a great deal at Elder-Beerman box said $75 but I decided to ask the cashier if they were on sale.....they rang up at $55 plus a discount, I ended up paying $28. Not sure why they rang up like this, but I didn't question it. Pretty comfy shoe, a bit snug but I think they'll loosen up after I get them broke in.

Sketchers Sky Rockets: Another great deal at JCPenny on clearance for $24. Also a comfy shoe but I need to break it in.

For both pair I think I need to wear them for a considerable amount of time before I determine how comfy they will be. I will also be bringing my old standby, comfy but bulky tennis shoes just in case the ones I bought don't turn out to be so great.

I will update the comfort level on both pairs when I return from Disney!!!!

I recently bought a pair of MBT shoes (black sneaker type). Believe it or not it was even before Rachel Ray talked about their benefits on her show. I've worn them exclusively this past week...and I am sooo pleased. I have almost always worn birkenstok sandals, but wanted an option with more support to wear occasionally. LOL...I haven't worn anything else since I put them on. They feel like heaven! I am presently using them to walk all over downtown Washington DC...a real workout!
