What rooms should I request at AKL?

My parents are coming to WDW with us this September. Dad is in a wheelchair, CRO is aware of this. What room numbers should I request in order to get the best view for him (and us). Mobility may be a problem so I would like to make the view the best possible seeing he may choose to stay in the room most of the time.

I do know that it is just a request and that my requests are specific but you can't get it if you don't ask.

My requests:
Good view for my Mom and Dad's room.
Since one of our kids will be staying with them I would like adjoining or connecting rooms....stop laughing, you never know.
If not adjoining or connecting at least in the same trail.

Thanks

IMHO, I would just ask for those things exactly the way you did in your post. It definately tells the CM why the view is so important to you. A lot of people follow with a fax a few days before arriving where you repeat your requests and your short story. I think your post, as is, would be great for the fax.
Asking for specific room numbers (IMHO anyway) is risky because it really limits everything. If those room numbers are already assigned, the room assigner has to guess WHY you wanted them and you might not get anything that you want. If the room assigner knew you wanted a good view, there might be some equally good view rooms that are available for assignment.
Adjoining rooms (ones that are next to each other, but not connected) won't be hard at all, but if you need connecting rooms, that will limit the rooms that fit your requests even more.
We haven't stayed at AKL, but we have visited several times. The animals seemed to roam around the viewing area quite a bit.

Thanks for the info and input Sue. I'll be copying and pasteing very shortly;)

You're weelcome.
Hope you have a great trip. From what we could see of the public areas of AKL, it's a great resort. There are some nice Savannah viewing rooms on the main floor of the hotel, a paved walkway that goes out to overlook the Savannah and we found no problems in the public areas for pushing a wheelchair.
