Stayed at Royal Pacific ...loved the pool and proximity to parks. The first night there were dogs barking and barking! Finally at 2 am we were moved to a new room. We must have called the manager 5 times to complain. With a 3 and 5 year old sleeping and a husband getting madder and madder...it was not fun. What is the concierge like too? Thanks Want to try the Portifino this time ...gonna be hard to leave the Poly....but it will be cheaper to go to Universal for 3 days.

I would really like to know this too, I really want to avid that floor at Portofino. We did request top floor so hopefully no doggies up there.

According to the concierge that I spoke with, the club rooms do not allow pets. As for the rest of the rooms, I am not sure.

We stayed in March and we were on the ground level floor - Ill have to find my room number because its not at my fingertips right now. All I can say is - i didnt even notice the hotel as being 'pet friendly' untillllll

I sat down in the reading chair, and noticed some white dog hair sticking out from the seams of the cushions. At that point I started really casing the room, and then noticed behind the curtain, a piece of a small dog biscut.

My hubby went there without kids but we reallly loved the place very romantic, and clean otherwise than those two small finds. I really otherwise didnt see any white hair on the carpet. I probably would not have stayed in the room if I knew it was 'pet friendly'

We have allergies so I told them I needed a room that pets had not been in. The girl at the front desk told me that the pet friendly rooms were mainly on the first floor. I can see why ,since it would be easier to get the pets out to do their business ,etc. :)

Our pet friendly room was on the second floor in the building closest to the boat dock. We took our SHih-Tzu last October, saw dogs of all shapes and sizes, even a Great Dane at a poolside table at the villa pool.

That would result in an immediate room change, probably a reduction in rate, or an upgrade (or all of the above).

As was pointed out, there are people with allergies and sensitivities - had anyone been put in a room where an animal had been allowed there would have been even worse repurcussions.
