We need some help on which room would be the best for our cruise next year. We will be traveling with my family (me, Dh and three boys: 8, 4, 2) and my mother (70). I thought the two bedroom suite, but I am not sure. We want to be close, but not ontop of each other. We are looking at the 7 night cruise. Suggestions please ?

The two-bedroom suites are great but VERY hard to get; they book up quickly since there are only two on each ship. They are also quite expensive.

I would suggest booking two adjoining staterooms in any of the categories with adjoining rooms. If you want a balcony, try for Categories 4, 5 or 6.

Enjoy your planning! :)

I bet two families on our last cruise that had a verandah room and an inside cabin across the hall from one another. In their case, they had teenagers, and put all the teenagers together in the inside room, but they had access to the verandah in the parents room. Might save you a few bucks.
