D you really get soaked on splash mountain at mk, the rapids at ka, the pirate rode or jungle cruise?

Going next week, and don't want to get soaked (or to have to bring a change of clothes)

Splash is a gamble. Depends on where you are seated and weight of the boat but you will get wet.

Kali -soaked to the skin

Pirates and jungle maybe a light sprinkle on a drop or turn but never really getting wet. Only got my jeans wet on pirates once and that was because the cm overloaded the boat

Kali: big time

Splash: Moderate...depends where you sit

POTC/Maelstrom: maybe some sprinkles, again depending where you sit

I usually ask to sit in the back on Splash, as well as Pirates/Maelstrom (just in case). I generally only get "splashed" on Splash, and only a sprinkle on the others, if that.

Kali I ride in a poncho and flip-flops. :lmao:

Since they changed the boats on Pirates, there is a much more likely chance of getting very wet if you are in the front row. I've been in the front row twice this year. In February, enough water came over the sides to get all of our feet soaked. When I rode in May, I got as wet as I do on Splash! A huge wave came over the front of the boat and I even got water in my mouth and eyes. My jeans and shirt were soaked.

If you don't want to get wet on Pirates I would suggest asking to be placed towards the back of the boat.

Jungle cruise: only if the elephant is in a pissy mood that day.

Kali: yeah, strip down to your bathing suit or at the very least bring a change of clothes or wear something that dries fast.

Pirates and Splash.. meh. not so much. maybe some sloshing along the sides at certain points.

SM - no, Kali - absolutely.

It is possible that your seat will be wet on Pirates before you even sit down and the bottom of the boat may have water. If this sounds uncomfortable to you, prepare accordingly (microfiber small towel to wipe up seat, flip flops or quick dry shoes with no socks).

Agree with everyone else. Kali you'll get soaked. Splash should be fine, it really depends on how they load up the log. I feel bad for everyone that had to ride with me and my brother in law last time. They stuck both of us in the front... I'm 6'2" 230lbs and he's about 6'0" 250lbs. Needless to say, no one was very happy by the end of the ride.

It seems toward the front and right gets you wetter than toward the back and left on Splash Mountain.

I would plan for yes, yes, no and no. Splash can be unpredictable, but you do get wet. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. For Khali Rapids you will get wet, but should dry pretty quickly if it is warm and sunny. For pirates, there is only one hill and we have never gotten anything other than a small splash. Jungle Cruise is dry as can be, including the humor.:goodvibes

You probably won't get soaked to the bone on Splash, but you might get more than just a little wet. Kali you will almost certainly get drenched.

The wettest I ever get on Splash is when there is a backup of boats and you get stopped right next to that waterfall before the small drop (which is why they hold there). If you're on the right side of the boat, you'll be soaked by the time you start moving again!

Yes, this has happened to me. Yuck! I was unprepared and wore squishy sneakers for the rest of the afternoon.

The seats on Pirates can be a little wet. People sometimes walk on the seats in order to get out of the boat. There may be a little bit of water in the bottom , but I've never seen it bad enough to get a "soaker".

Ever since the boat change at Pirates there is def more splash factor. We were in the front row a couple months ago and my shorts were soaked! After that we asked for the rows toward the rear.
