what rides can our 6 mo old son go on, of course held in my or DW lap/arms?

Peter Pan?

Soarin?

others?

I don't want to take him on everything or anything controversial or potentially harmful, so I thought I would ask those in the know on DIS first.

thanks,

ps. we leave tomorrow and are so excited :bounce:

I've seen babies on POTC, but I'm not sure if any were as young as 6 months.

Also the Liberty Square Riverboat, TTA, Jungle Cruise, Small World, to name a few that should be OK. :)

6 months is a great age. You can do Peter pan, Small World (always a big hit), the Pooh beah ride and Snow White. You can even do Buzz. Its up to you but I did take my infants on Haunted Mansion and Pirates, it was always dark and my kids would fall asleep. In Epcot you can not do Soarin ( 40 inches) but you can do Spaceship earth (golf ball), Figment, boat ride in the Land and the Living Seas (more a walk through). YOu could also do Ellens Energy, it is loud but again my kids always feel asleep. I could also give you the other parks if you like , I have done them many times with infants.

You may be surprised at how many attractions you can take a babe on. Soarin' might be one where you'll have to use Child Swap, due to the unique seating situation, but many attractions are quite baby-friendly.

Here's my list of those you CAN'T do with a small baby:

MAGIC KINGDOM:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Splash Mountian
Cinderella's Golden Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
Goofy's Barnstormer
Astro Orbitor (I think)
Stitch's Great Escape
Space Mountain

EPCOT:
Mission:Space
Test Track
Body Wars
possibly Maelstrom

MGM STUDIOS:
Tower of Terror
Rock 'n Roller Coaster
Star Tours

ANIMAL KINGDOM:
Kali River Rapids
Dinosaur!
Primeval Whirl
(You may want to skip Tough to be a Bug due to darkness and loud noises)

Some of these don't have actual restrictions, but you won't want to take a baby on them anyway.

One of my babies loved every ride but the other one was scared of many. They both loved the carousel, small world, peter pan, jungle cruise, character meals and parades if you sit on the curb. My dd loved pirates at 9 months and tolerated haunted mansion but of course didn't get the effects. They both loved the train but one of them tossed their bottle over the side!!They both loved the boats to the resorts and the baby pools. It will be fun

What about THE MAGIC CARPETS OF ALLADIN...I don't think anyone mentioned that one. :) And of course THE TIKI ROOM! Oh, oh..and THE COUNTRY BEAR JAMBOREE! LOL..so the last one isn't a ride..BUT DON'T MISS THAT! Woohoo..tomorrow...awesome!
HAVE A BLAST!!! :earseek:

We took DD when she was 7mo and she did great. Your DS will have a great time. i think we took her on almost anything that didn't have a heaight requirement on it. Everything on Fantasyland. Even POTC in Adventureland. We are going back in just a few days and i am sure we will enjoy herself even more now !
