I was 7 months preg with DD during a trip to "another" park. I used the restricted ride time for bathroom breaks and shopping - while DH and DS rode the rides. My OB gave me a copy of my file to carry with me - just in case. It certainly helped me feel better. Plus he said to CONSTANTLY drink water. He said that dehydration can bring on premature labor. So with all that water, I really needed them to ride a lot! LOL!
Make sure you enjoy all the shows. I know a friend that did WDW preg with twins. Her DH rented a wheelchair for her.

Congrats!! There's tons you can do. I love the rides in Fantasy land even before I had kids.

Disney Railroad
Jungle Cruise
Pirates
Magic Carpets
Haunted Mansion
Carousel
Dumbo
Mad Tea Party
Pooh
Peter Pan
Snow White
Astro Orbiter
Buzz Light Year
Stitch
TTA

That's just the rides at MK. There's many more show type attractions.

Even at Animal Kingdon I would skip the Safari. I think small children should not be allowed to ride that. We had our DS 17mo on our lap holding him well. We hit several major bumps where people went up in the air and DS flew forward and almost hit the seat in front of us. My doc advised avoiding anything too bumpy or jarring. There can be shearing forces on the placenta with sudden jolts.

The reality is there are only a few things that you cannot do due to pregnancy! Have fun and enjoy yourself.

Thank You!!
I wrote these down.
I know I will enjoy the ones that I can ride.
I plan to take it slow not just for me but for the kids as well.
Thanks Again!

It is easier to say the rides you can't ride if you are pregnant.

Pretty much all the "thrill rides" are out. No Splash or Space Mountian, Big Thunder Mountian Railroad, Rock n' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Mission Space, Test Track, or Star Tours. The Safari in AK should also be avoided because it is VERY bumpy.

Everything non "thrill ride" is pretty much fair game for preggos to ride. :rotfl:

Don't worry though, there will be warnings on all the rides that should be avoided.

And there is obviously pregnant woman can ride & do in Disney World.

Just take is slow, drink lots of water, rest a lot & step into the a/c if it is hot as often as you can.

ALso, the Indy Speedway ride in Tomorrowland is restricted for moms-to-be, just thought about that one since you have a 6-yr. old with you. Have a great trip!

Hello,

I went when I was 5 months pregnant. I avoided the jerky types of rides, but I did go on Splash Mountain. BTW I cleared splash with my doc. Although I probably didn't need to. I was super careful about everything when I was pregnant.

I also went on Kilamanjaro Safari when I was pregnant. I remember joking with my husband about coming back to ride it if I was late and wanted to induce labor. That is one ride I would skip again if I was pregnant.

Also make PS reservations for every meal even if you don't use them. Eventhough the time of year that we were there was not suppose to be busy, there were a couple of times that I wanted to find a comfortable place to sit and eat and could not get in.

Enjoy and take pics to commemorate you little ones first trip.
