Hello,

We are taking my son on his first WDW trip in November. He will be almost 8 months old and I would love to try and take him on some of the slower rides. I have heard that people have brought babies in front carriers on Small World, the safari at Animal Kingdom and the Carousel but was wondering what other rides people have brought infants on.

Thanks :wave2:

I don't have kids, but I would think that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority would be a good one! :)

Magic Kingdom

Jungle Cruise
Country Bear Jamboree
Haunted Mansion
Small World
Dumbo
Winne the Pooh(maybe)
Tomorrow Land
TimeKeeper
Carosel Of Progress
Liberty Belle
Tiki Room
Hall of Presidents

Animal Kingdom

Safari
Raffiki's Plant Watch Train
Festival of the Lion King
Pocohantas

MGM

Great Movie Ride
Playhouse DIsney
MuppetVision

Epcot

Lots of things

I took my son at 7 months, here's what I remember him doing

Buzz Lightyear
Tommorowland Transit Authority
Winne The Pooh
Peter Pan
Snow White
Its a small world
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of the Caribean
Haunted Mansion
Carousel of Progress (or any movie/show attraction)
Cinderalla's Carosel

pretty much any slow moving ride.....

we brought our daughter when she was just 2 months old. and i did carry her in the "snugli"- (the backpack thing). and we were able to take her on any ride with no height restictions.

buzz, snowwhite, peterpan, haunted mansion, pirates, spaceship earth, boat ride in mexico, and in norway, i'm sure there were a few more i just can't think of them right now. and since he will be only 8 months the haunted mansion shoulnt upset him. my son got a little freaked out this year- he was 3 1/2- when we last went. dd was almost 2. so she didn't mind the ride.

like i said you should be fine, as long as there are no height restrictions.
good luck and have fun!

At WDW, the answer to this question is shorter if you ask what can't I bring an infant on. I'd agree that anything with a height restriction would be a no. But, most attractions should be fine.

I brought my son with me at 10 months ...and again as a 2 year old on...

haunted mansion
carousel
pooh
pirates of carribean
all the shows and 4D movies
jungle cruise
disney railroad
ellens energy adventure
small world
journey into imagination
the safari at AK
tower of terror (j/k :rotfl2: )
great movie ride

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

IASW is meant to be great for infants (as is Journey Into Imagination). They have so much stimulation - sound, music, colours, that babies just love them!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I'm really happy to see that people had taken their infants on Pirates and the Norway ride. Those are some of my favorites and I really want to see the new characters in Pirates.

I've never been on TTA but will certainly try it out.

Thanks!
Christine :thumbsup2

Everything without a height restriction, basically! We took the boy at 6 months on Pirates in DL. And we'll be dragging him at 20 months on everything we can. (Though he would be happy to just ride IASW over and over.)
