I am trying to do the math of whether to stay at the Fairfield Inn or on site.

Several things I am considering....

1) Fairfield includes b/f
2) I have three kids - Ds8, ds6, dd4. I don't think the younger two can ride alot due to their size.
3) Shuttle costs to/from FI

So should I just buy a Front of Line Pass for one adult and oldest ds if the younger two don't even need it? Does that make sense?

We are going the first week fo Oct - going to US for two days then over to Disney where I have no idea where to stay there yet!

What days are you going to US and IOA?

Remember that if you stay onsite for one night it gives you express for 2 full days, check in day and checkout day. Just get to the hotel early before the parks open and check in to get your hotel keys (which is your express passes).

Just a reminder...there is no such thing as a "front of the line" pass at Universal. All passes are called Express Plus passes and onsite guests receive unlimited Express access during their stay. Express Plus passes are only incorrectly referred to as FOTL on the DIS Boards. I just don't want a newbie going to the parks and asking for a "front of the line" pass instead of Express. :thumbsup2

Metro is saying that there is only a pass called "Express Pass". You can buy this pass as an add on to your park tickets, but lets you into the Express line once per attraction. Then they sell a VIP tickets that include admission and Express pass that is Unlimited times per attraction.

Then there is the hotel Express Pass which is your hotel key. This is unlimited entries to rides. This is the one where people here refer to as Front Of The Line pass. But really there is not a pass called Front Of The Line because it does not exist. He just does not want people going to the park looking or asking for the Front Of The Line entrance.:thumbsup2
