In only 27 days til our next trip to the World. DS is now four and 41 inches tall. He can get on everything except Space Mountain, Rockin Roller Coaster and the Primevil Whirl ( I think that's what its called)...

Last year he was almost 3 when we went and he dot on everything he was tall enough for without fear. I'm a little nerovous about Mission Space and Soarin for him.

Any advice from parents of little ones about his age?

I have heard that Soarin is fine for little ones.

My DD4 will be skipping Tower of Terror this trip. She would be fine with the ride part, but I think the preshow would scare her.

Well, I don't have a little one, but my DD is 13, and when we were at WDW in May she was ok on every ride except Dinosoar. She covered her eyes and ears and was terrified. I laughed throughout the whole thing (while holding her hand of course, and trying to tell her it was really fun).

On our last day, I convinced her to go on Dinosoar again - with her eyes open (much scarier just listening to those noises) - and she was ok.

But, unless your son is practically fearless, you might want to think twice about Dino. It's very dark (pitch black in some places), loud, and unpredictable.

I've heard the same thing from my cousin. Her DD6 is pretty brave, but Dino scared her.

Your son is too short for Mission Space it has a req. of 44" so no need to worry about that one ;)

Soarin is very very tame and is fine for little ones. My 3 year old loved it and so did her cousin and she was a bit more nervous on other rides. She was turning 5 at the time.

All the kid's skipped Dino except my 6 year old nephew who it didn't bother at all. I couldn't convince my niece or my daughter to go on it though. But just to show how different things frighten different kids, my daughter (3 yr) loves Haunted Mansion but her 2 older cousins wouldn't even think about it. This is the same nephew that rode Dino with no problem. I think with a ride like Dino only you know best. Its not thrill ride in the sense of a roller coaster.

We all skipped Tower of Terror, although if my daughter wanted to go it I would have taken her. As another poster said the preshow would affect her more than the ride I think, but I think she would have got through fine. So again this is really something only you will know.

Test Track should be fine for a 4 year old as well. My daughter rode it with no problem. I can't think of anything frightening in it.

I can't think of another ride that he's tall enough for that stands out as possibly inappropriate or might be really scary.

I plan to take both my kids age 5 and 3 on all the rides they meet requirments for. my ds is 45inches tall and dd is 41 inches. they both just love all rides and if they don't like them then it's not the end of the world, they dont' have to go on them again. but they will try it b/c i know thier personality and i've been on all the rides before (except sorin and mission space) and know my kids well enough to make that choice. You know your kid, see how he does on smaller things and work your way up or ride it first your self if you've never done it and then take him again later! :) HTH!

We rode Soarin' last Spring and all of my three (4,7,9) loved it. My 4 year old is the dare devil and the 9 year old is the fearful one, but all did great. What a wonderful ride!
