What Ride/Attraction Were You Excited For, But Ended Up Disappointed?

Soarin - basically an IMAX movie. And mine train. Both are fine rides but I would not wait over 15 minutes for either ride.

kilimanjaro rapids

I love these type of rides but never went on because I didn't want to get soaked. Finally did it and very disappointed with it. Thought it was short and just a loop.

The entire Fantasy Land Expansion. Way to much hype for 1 restaurant and a couple of unimaginative, replicative rides, albeit with a new theme-based on old movies.

The whole Fantasyland area, been once never want to enter again... 7 Dwarf mine train was a big dissapointment like someone said it was like it's over???? Can't understand the attraction

I personally like NFL. I'm picturing the cramped old fantasyland with somewhat "dry" buildings The outside of BOG, 7DMT, and The Little Mermaid are refreshing.

That said 7DMT needed to be a bit longer and the little mermaid feels like they ran out of "Imaganeering" after they built the outside and queue.

Oh and Soarin' the most overrated Disney ride on the face of the earth.

Mission Space. I had high hopes but due to all of the horror stories about motion sickness, I've never even tried.

Try green. I love the ride (Orange) but I do understand people can't take it. No G's if you ride green.

i think most people over exaggerate.
if you are not usually prone to motion sickness then you most likely would be just fine on mission space orange team.

you just mashed two rides together.
its kilimanjaro safari and kali river rapids.

one more i was highly disappoint with was the seas with nemo and friends.
i'm not a fan of pixar movies and don't care for finding nemo at all.
i enjoyed the old living seas ride much better.

Tower of Terror. The way they themed the place is great and all, but I have no idea how they managed to take a drop tower and make it a kid ride. It's not thrilling at all. But that's just the Disney way I guess.

I felt that way no first time or 2. That's the problem with the "random sequences". Sometimes you get the "that's all?" Sequence. Sometimes you get more intense "how am I going up and down at the same time" versions.

Back to the question:
I'll go with Little Mermaid in the new Fantasyland....mostly it opened 10-15 years too late.

I disagree. I can ride the fastest, spinniest, most upside down coasters multiple times in a row with no problems. Mission Space Orange took me out for a half a day. And that was with Dramamine already in place. Cheers.

7DMC too short and rather boring.

JOLM they did a great job on the outside but the inside looks like they never finished it

New Test Track I like the fact you can make a car but I think they took away all the character of the attraction just adding the "Tron" feel. It is cheap looking.

When I read about the motion sickness, I had this off our list. Didn't even want to try it (nor subject our family to it).

Captain Jack Sparrow Experience! I'm a huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan, but this attraction was a big disappointment! Glad it's over, re-purpose the space!

Mission Space. I remember commenting "they didn't rebuild Horizons for THIS?"

Kali River Rapids. Short and done but better in other parks.

I was disappointed in Journey of the Little Mermaid. I wasn't exactly expecting a thrill ride or anything but I thought the technology they used was no where near the latest and greatest. I just expected Disney to do a little more with all their "creating magic" experience. Seemed like a half hearted job.

I agree completely that was the first ride/ attraction that came to mind when I read the question. So disappointing overall!

Not a ride, but I say Fantasmic. I am desperately hoping they will scratch this and use the set stadium for World of Color. As far as Fantasmic goes, I was so tired do Mickey's imagination by the end that I was ready for the giant snake to eat him. And my 7yo was convinced that the snake was actually going to eat him. Fun night.
