What resort would you pick for a 1 night "splurge" night? (Resort Day-no parks)

We are currently booked for the July 4th week. We have a bonus night at Yacht club for the actual 4th booked as a splurge/treat. If we rebook, it would be just another Friday night/Saturday on any of other potential dates. We are still interested in BC/YC, but curious about other fun "splurge" options for that final night! We'd hit parks part of Friday, but not Saturday, so being "close" to anything isn't a huge deal either way. We do love to lounge by the pool and are interested in unwinding after a week of Disney. Note: "unwinding" does not mean quiet and solitude, but rather just chilling with a cocktail and being off our feet lol. So have a little fun with me! What's a one night dream splurge??

Hmmmm, that's a tough question. I've stayed at almost every resort on property and there is something to be said for all of them. I'm guessing if it were just one night and I wasn't planning on going to parks, it would be GF. We haven't stayed there in years because we only do MK about 1/2 day and do Epcot and/or HS every single day so we stay at the Dolphin most of the time.

Well the Poly. bungalows would be an awesome one night splurge! But if that’s not doable I would chose AKL Savannah view club or maybe Contemporary theme park View ( I don’t love that pool though).

Copper Creek Cabins. We'd put that deck, water view, fireplace to good use! Let's not forget the cute private plunge pool/hottub.

I enjoy the YC/BC pool, but I think if you want a pool with a better atmosphere, I would to with Poly. I just enjoy the theming and the view there a bit more. Or perhaps GF and rent a cabana for a day. We also like the AKL pool - for a splurge, perhaps book CL there (which also comes with a savannah view). If you want a bigger splurge, consider CL or a suite at Poly or CL, main building at GF.

AKL savannah view would be my choice. Great restaurant options, beautiful lobby, two excellent pools, some of the best CMs on property, and ANIMALS. Who could ask for more?

I have a soft spot for Poly.
Never been there.
I would want a MK view so we could see the fireworks and the Electric Water Pageant.
I actually think I would feel more "tropically attached" if I were not in a bungalow.
Poly has great atmosphere.

Beach Club. Stormalong Bay is a wonderful pool with the most hot tubs in Disney World. You can see fireworks from the pool/Boardwalk area, too. You are within walking distance of Fantasia mini-golf, so you could easily do that. There are also rentall boats you could take onto Crescent Lake, and you could rent a surrey bike on the Boardwalk. And in the evening there are sometimes magicians, etc. performing on the Boardwalk. Beaches & Cream has good ice cream and a walk-up window. It's a fabulous resort to stay at in the summer.

Poly is high on the list for us. We LOVE Aulani in Hawaii, so Poly is :lovestruc

I think I agree with most people and I would pick Poly. The views of MK, the food, the atmosphere, and the pool. Savannah view at AKL is a close second. I have not stayed at either.

I think for a splurge night I’d want to go with a 1 Bedroom Princess Suite in the Tonga longhouse at the Poly 😊
Full club level access with the perk of complimentary room service - heaven! Views out over the Marina, castle in the distance.. water parade in the evening & MK fireworks! Beautiful grounds.. 2 pools (we prefer the quiet pool) Can do a monorail crawl for drinks in the evening and Lots of great restaurants just a monorail ride away for dinner..
Pineapple Lanai for dole whips (with or without rum). A nice stroll to the GF for Spa services, a great added splurge! Access to the CL lounge all day, check in & check out days...

That would be my last night splurge choice for sure!

Mine would definitely be either a Cabin at Copper Creek, Polynesian Bungalow, or the suite in the Grand Floridian with a view of the castle and club level. 😍😍😍

If easy access to the park doesn't matter, Four Seasons? If you want it to be a Disney property, I'd agree with others AKL SV makes sense. I personally wouldn't bother with CL until there's some explanation of how CL is going to be impacted, given your travel dates. Ooh - BLT TPV. Ya - look at that if it's available. (Although it would make me want to go to the parks.)
