What prices are you paying for airfare out of newark in april

Just checking out airfare for april. Unfortunately we are going during spring break 4/12-4/18 so prices are high. Looks like I can get a round trip for 3800.00 for 6 people. Almost as much as I am paying for my Disney vacation!! Anybody getting any better fares for non-stop?

Wait until about 4 months out. That is what we did for January trip - was able to book non-stop round trip flights from LA for $316/person (family of 5). We got these fares by using Yapta price alerts.

362 a ticket. It's the most I've EVER paid for spring break airfare. It seems that airfare has gone up a lot in the past year the days of the 200 fare to FL from NY is over. We bought our airfare as soon as Jet Blue released our dates 4/10 - 4/21. I think right now it's at over 650 a ticket!!! I've been following Spring Break air for the past 8 years and never in the past 8 years have I seen it drop like the PP is mentioning. Those planes fill up and fill up fast. Try off times or changing your days slightly to see cheaper prices. Look into Southwest, or connecting flights.......

I get emails from Booking Buddy telling about rates...you can sign up with them (there are other sites as well). You can enter your specific flight plans (dates, airports and passengers) and they will notify you when rates go down.
I think Saturday is one of the more expensive days to fly so that might be one reason prices are high.
