Mexican Coke or Maine Root (Root Beer or Cola). I don't drink cokes much, but I like those for a treat. All sodas are cokes where I come from, no matter what flavor or brand.

Yes, none of that French nonsense for us. Starter, main course and pudding.
I am sure people used to use the generic pop here, but now people refer to the specific drink, so coke, lemonade etc. Do you call concentrated fruit juice, that you mix with water ‘squash’?
The only fizzy drinks I touch are tonic ( with gin) and champagne. We do keep soda water and ginger ale in the fridge for mixers for visitors.
Coke is my favourite so that's my go-to, and (because I'm Scottish and it's the law) Irn Bru.
In our house it's juice unless we call it by the flavour or name. We'd ask for either some juice (whatever fizzy stuff is in the fridge), or diluting juice if it's the concentrated fruit juice Welsh_Dragon mentioned. Of course out in a restaurant we speak properly and ask for whatever we want by name
The SODA I drink when I feel like having a SODA is Dr. Pepper or Cherry Pepsi SODA.
Really though, I drink water all day now that I've cut down my coffee consumption to three cups in the morning. In a restaurant I always order unsweetened iced tea.
Diet Dr Pepper... It is becoming very hard to find lately though.
My usual grocery store went from having 15 different flavors of coke, to Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite. Not even Diet Sprite. It is crazy. I haven't seen Cherry Coke Zero since spring.
Best Flavor? Cherry Coke (with real syrup) and Code Red. But I don't get them often because the diet versions stink.
What I drink most often is Diet Mountain Dew. I'm pretty sure there is an addictive drug in their recipe.
I kicked a bad Coke habit 4 years ago. I used to get a headache once or twice a week. I have had 2 headaches that I can remember since giving up regular doses of caffeine.
